UPSC CSE Mains 2024: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has officially released the interview schedule for the Civil Services Examination (CSE) Mains 2024. According to the newly announced timeline, the personality tests for candidates who have successfully qualified for the UPSC CSE Mains will commence on January 7, 2025. The interviews, also known as personality tests, will be conducted until April 17, 2025.
Candidates who have cleared the Mains examination can check the detailed interview schedule on the official UPSC website at upsc.gov.in. A total of 2,845 candidates are eligible for the interview stage.
The commission has specified that the reporting time for the forenoon session will be 9:00 am, while candidates for the afternoon session will need to report by 1:00 pm.
The official notice from UPSC highlighted that, based on the results of the Civil Services (Main) Examination 2024, which was declared on December 9, 2024, the personality tests will begin on Tuesday, January 7, 2025.
Furthermore, the commission clarified that requests for changes in the date or time of the interview would generally not be entertained. Candidates are advised to adhere to the schedule unless there are exceptional circumstances.
UPSC also mentioned that it will soon issue the e-summon letters for the personality tests of the selected candidates. These letters will be available for download on the UPSC website.
It is important to note that candidates who have not submitted their Detailed Application Form (DAF-II) within the specified time frame will have their candidature canceled, and no e-summon letter will be issued in such cases.
In addition to the interview schedule, the UPSC has also announced travel reimbursement details for candidates who will be attending the interviews. Candidates who are required to travel to the interview venue will be reimbursed for their travel expenses.
The reimbursement will cover the second or sleeper-class train fare (mail or express trains) only. This travel allowance is provided to help candidates with their travel expenses incurred for attending the interview.
The interview process is the final stage of the UPSC CSE 2024 selection process, following the Mains examination. The personality test plays a crucial role in determining the suitability of candidates for a career in civil services.
The interview assesses various qualities such as leadership, decision-making skills, communication, and overall personality.
Therefore, the preparation for this stage is critical for candidates aiming to secure a position in the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Police Service (IPS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS), and other prestigious services.
The UPSC CSE 2024 personality tests are set to be a competitive and intensive process, and candidates are advised to be well-prepared for this final evaluation. They should stay updated on all notifications and download their e-summon letters as soon as they become available.
