CHANNELS OF SLACK
In slack you can segment audiences to support the efforts of your employees. Slack has four different channels namely, Private Channels, Public Channels, Shared Channels and Multiple Workspace Channels depending upon the plan your organization has chosen. In simple words channels are just like the containers of discussion with others in the slack universe. The main difference between these channels are in the privacy setting. Private and public channels serve the same purpose, that is to share context information with the group of people. The only exception is whether the Workspace owner has limited channel posting rights or not. In Slack's shared channels Slack allows upto ten different organizations to share the same channel.
