BSF Eligibility Criteria: Sub-Inspector

Post	Age	Educational Qualification
Sub-Inspector (SI-Master)	22 - 28 years	10+2 or its equivalent from a recognized Board or University, and 2) Second Class Master Certificate issued by the Central or State Inland Water Transport Authority or Mercantile Marine Department
Sub-Inspector (SI-Engine Driver)	22 - 28 years	10+2 or its equivalent from a recognized Board or University,  and 2) First Class Engine Driver Certificate issued by the Central or State Inland Water Transport Authority or Mercantile Marine Department
Sub-Inspector (SI-Workshop)	20 - 25 years	Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized University and 2) Three years Diploma in Mechanical or Marine Automobile Engineering from a recognized University or Institution

BSF Eligibility Criteria: Head Constable

Constable	Age	Educational Qualification
Head Constable Radio Operator (RO)	18 - 25 years	Matriculation or equivalent · from a recognized Board and two years Industrial Training Institute Certificate (ITI) in Radio 'and Television or, General Electronics or, computer operator & Programming Assistant or, Data Preparation & Computer Software or, or, Info Technology & Electronics System maintenance or, Computer Hardware or, Network Technician or, Mechatronics or, Data Entry Operator from a recognized Institute.
Head Constable Radio Mechanic (RM)	18 - 25 years	Matriculation or equivalent from a recognized Board and .two years Industrial Training Institute Certificate (ITI) in Radio and Television or, Electronics or, computer operator & Programming Assistant or, Data Preparation & Computer Software, General Electronics or, Data Entry Operator from a recognized Institute.  Or Pass in Intermediate or 12th standard or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics from a recognized Board or University or Institution as a regular student with aggregate 60% marks in PCM subject.

BSF Eligibility Criteria: Constable

Post	Age	Educational Qualification
Constable	18 - 23 years	1) Matriculation from a Reputable Board. 2) 1-year experience in the operation of Boat below 265 HP 3) A swimmer in the deep waters without any aid & shall submit an undertaking certificate as per Annexure- ‘D- 1’ along with an Application Form.
