CUCET Syllabus:  The CUCET Exam or CUET is conducted by the National Testing Agency. This year's examination saw approx  9,68,201 candidates appear for the examination. The number of candidates for the CUCET exam is expected to be on the higher side in the next attempt. The candidates applying for the examination must be aware of CUCET Syllabus and exam pattern. The syllabus and exam pattern will ensure that the candidates are able to prepare well before the examination. The syllabus for CUCET is based  CBSE Class 12th NCERT syllabus. CUET UG Exam Pattern 

Paper I of CUET or which was known as Section 1A . Candidates can choose from one of the 13 languages like  Hindi, Marathi, Gujarati, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Urdu, Assamese, Bengali, Punjabi, Odia, and English. Candidates will have the option to opt for additional languages like French, Spanish, German, Nepali, Persian, Italian, Arabic, Sindhi, Kashmiri, Konkani, Bodo, Dogri, Maithili, Manipuri, Santhali, Tibetan, Japanese, Russian and Chinese if they wish to pursue courses in them.

The exam will test reading comprehension, and questions on vocabulary, synonyms, and antonyms, among other things.
The detailed marking scheme will be released with the official notification we will update the page as soon as the relevant details are released by NTA.

CUET Exam Pattern Section 1B 

This section is related to the domain of candidates. Candidates who wish to pursue courses in the specific domain will have to clear this section. This section will be held for 27 domains like: Accountancy/ Book Keeping, Biology/ Biological Studies/ Biotechnology, Business Studies, Chemistry, Computer Science/ Informatics Practices, Economics/ Business Economics, Engineering Graphics, Entrepreneurship, Geography, History, Home Science, Knowledge Tradition–Practices India, Legal Studies, Commercial Arts, Mathematics, Physical Education/ NCC, Physics, Political Science, Psychology, Sociology, Teaching Aptitude, Agriculture, Mass Media/ Mass Communication, Anthropology, Fine Arts/ Visual Arts (Sculpture/ Painting), Performing Arts and Sanskrit.

General Test

For any such undergraduate programme/programs being offered by Universities where a General Test is being used for admission.

The CUCET exam pattern 2022 gives a good idea about what is in store for the candidate and how one needs to prepare for the exam. As per the latest notification released by NTA, CUET (UG) 2022 will comprise four sections:

  • Section IA – 13 Languages
  • Section IB – 19 Languages

Important Points about CUET Syllabus

1. CUET (UG) -2022 provides several options i.e. 33 Languages, 27 Subjects, and a General test of their choice. They can select any of the 13 languages specified therein as a medium for their test.
2. In CUET (UG) - 2022, a candidate may take a maximum of 09 tests in the following manner:
Two languages from Sections IA and IB combined, a maximum of six Domain Subjects from Section II, and a General Test from Section III.
OR
 A maximum of three languages from Sections IA and IB may be chosen, maximum of 05 Domain Subjects from Section II and III combined Section III General Test.
3. The CUCET (UG) 2022 syllabus will be based on the Class XII syllabus only
Furthermore, to ensure that the deletion of some topics from the syllabus across Boards has no effect on candidate performance in CUET (UG) - 2022, an overall choice of 10 questions or more is provided in different Sections.
4. As a candidate, you may select up to nine subjects from Sections 1A and 1B (languages), Section 2 (domain-specific subjects), and Section 3. (General Test).
He will be able to select any one of the 13 specified languages as his medium of instruction for the test.
5. The Language Test and Subject Test each last 45 minutes. The general test lasts one hour.
