DSSSB Assistant Teacher Eligibility Criteria 2022

The eligibility criteria for DSSSB Assistant Teacher is described under the following paramteres:

DSSSB Assistant Teacher Eligibility Criteria: Nationality

Only Indian citizens are allowed to apply for DSSSB Assistant Teacher Exam.

DSSSB Assistant Teacher Eligibility Criteria: Age Limit

The upper age limit for DSSSB Assistant Teacher is 30 years of age. There is relaxation in upper age limit for candidates belonging to reserved categories. The details are as follows:

Departmental Candidates with at least 3 years of service at Government of Delhi NCT/Autonomous bodies

Upto 5 years for Group B/Up to 40 years of age for Group C (45 years for SC/ST, 43 for OBC).

Meritorious Sports Person (Only Group C posts)

5 Years (10 Years for SC/ST, 8 years for OBC).

Ex-Servicemen Group B and C Non-Gazetted

The span of Military Service plus 3 years

Disabled Defence Services Personnel

45 Years (50 years for SC/ST, 48 Years for OBC).

Widow/Divorced women/legally separated women who are not remarried

Up to 35 years, (40 years for SC/ST, 38 Years for OBC).

DSSSB Assistant Teacher Eligibility Criteria: Educational Qualification

Qualification

Assistant Teacher (Nursery)

  • Candidates must have Senior Secondary School (Class 12th) certificate or intermediate with 45% marks.
  • Candidates must have a Diploma/Certificate in Nursery Teacher Education program of a duration of not less than 2 years or B.Ed. (Nursery) from a recognized institute.
  • Must have passed Hindi at Secondary level.

Assistant Teacher (Primary) - Directorate of Education

Candidates must have cleared the CTET exam and should also have passed English/Urdu/Punjabi/Hindi as a subject at the secondary level. The candidate should also have completed:

  • Candidates must have Senior Secondary with at least 50% & 2-year Diploma in elementary education OR
  • Candidates must have completed Senior Secondary with at least 50% & 2-year Diploma in elementary education by NCTE. OR
  • Candidates must have completed Graduation with a 2-year Diploma in education

Assistant Teacher (Primary) - New Delhi Municipal Council

  • Candidates must have completed the 12th Pass with 50% marks (5% relaxation for SC/ST)
  • Candidates must have completed the 2 years Diploma in primary education/certificate course in ETE/JBT/DIET/B.El.Ed.
  • Must have passed Hindi as a subject in 1oth Class.
  • The candidate must have passed the CTET.
 

DSSSB Assistant Teacher Eligibility Criteria: Number of Attempts

There is no restriction on the number of attempts for DSSSB Assistant Teacher Exam. Candidates can appear for the exam as many times as they want provided they fulfill the eligibility criteria mentioned above.
