Let’s know the tips to study Current Affairs for the UP ASI exam:

Making notes: You can practice making notes both online and offline since it will help you revise quickly before the test. It's one of the most crucial answers to the issue of how to plan for current events. There are two different styles of note writing:

Date-based Notes- These are usually useless because it is difficult to sort essential information and analysis from regular notes.

Topic Wise Notes- These are the best because they keep all of the details on a particular topic in one location.
The most important thing to remember when writing current affairs notes is that they should be brief and to the point, because you will only be allowed to write 250 words (maximum) for each question in the UPSC test, and you must address all of the important aspects of the subject along with a suitable solution to the problem that you believe will explain the issue.
For taking notes, you can use pointers, flow charts, mind maps, and other tools. These aid in the clarification of concepts as well as the retention of information. So, you can certainly write the topic of the note wise, and you can practice online or offline, depending on your preferences.

Focus on keywords: After reading a subject several times, jot down some quick notes to help you recognize the keywords. This is a crucial approach to the problem of how to plan for current events. So, while preparing a subject, look for keywords because keywords are extremely important in current events. For planning, write all the keywords relevant to one subject in one position so that you can later link a keyword to a current event topic.
It makes it easier for you to write the test, for example, if you come across a keyword in the question, you try to recall news/topics relevant to it so that you can remember anything and answer the question quickly. Every query has a tag attached to it, which is the same keyword you'll need to look up when studying current events.

Choose quality over quantity: You can come across people who do extensive research into the best study resources available, such as the best website/newspaper for current events, but who do not read them thoroughly. You may also come across people who read a lot and read from any available source, taking copious notes for the exam to prepare.
These elements, on the other hand, do not work at all. The more you try these things, the more likely you are to fail. Do your homework for a day or two, pick your sources, and stick to them, that is, read all from the source you selected, so choose wisely. You're going to be great.
You should always avoid news on topics such as political parties, in-depth information on the stock market, entertainment, sports news, and so on unless it is your hobby to read them. As a result, you must read only what is relevant to the UPSC exam; simply reading anything will not suffice.

Attempt our Free Mock Test

Do Not Try to Mug Up: We all try to mug up when it comes to offering an exam. In UPSC also there is some section which you can certainly clear by mugging up but you cannot apply the same mug up the process when preparing for Current Affairs section.
So, if you're very stumped on how to plan for current events, follow the steps above, just don't memorize everything; it won't help you at all. As a result, all you need to remember in this case are the dates and unique names relevant to the current event's subject.

Revisions: The best way of revision is re-writing again and again, that is why nothing is better than revision for you if you just want to clear UPSC Civil Service Exam. These approaches will ensure that you certainly catch more of the current affairs in a manner important to this test.
However, since current events change regularly, the safest way to maintain the information is to revise it frequently. Revise them regularly and include them in your mock test responses (in a sentence or two). It will undoubtedly improve the consistency of your responses.
