How to Prepare General Intelligence and Reasoning for SSC CGL Exam Tier 1

  1. Solve as many of last year's SSC CGL Practice Set question papers as you can.
  2. Every day, practise GI and Reasoning questions.
  3. Puzzles, figure-based problems, analogies, coding-decoding, and series are all high-scoring topics. Begin by answering these and then go to more versatile questions. If you practise regularly, you will see a considerable improvement in your accuracy level within a few weeks.
  4. Nonverbal reasoning issues such as image assembly, figure counting, and so on require you to use your visual imagination. Do not skip or overlook these questions, even if they appear time-consuming at first. The greatest method to make them less time-consuming is to practise them.
  5. When practising, try to answer at least 15-20 questions in 20 minutes with reasonable accuracy. In the exam, attempt to finish this section in no more than 20 minutes.
  6. If you have difficulties answering a particular question on the exam day, or if you need a long time to answer one, it is recommended that you go on to the next one. Don't squander your valuable time answering a single question. If time allows, return and answer the remaining question.

How to Prepare General Awareness for SSC CGL Tier 1?

  1. If you begin thoroughly preparing this portion two months before the exam, you will finish it in less than ten minutes. You can use the time you save here to perform calculations in Quantitative Aptitude.
  2. This section is largely made up of questions from Static GK rather than current events. As a result, concentrate more on static GK while remaining current with current events.
  3. Prepare the subjects in the priority order listed here; this is in agreement with the patterns seen in recent years. Science, Politics, History, Geography, Economy, Other
  4. Static GK is concerned with Culture, Indian History, Economy, Geography (India and the World), Politics, and the Environment.
    Instead of cramming, construct notes and mind maps to help you remember facts, a timeline of historical events, and dates.
  5. Try to complete at least 75 GA questions in 30 minutes per day.
  6. Aspirants should create a habit of regularly reading newspapers, blogs, and periodicals.
  7. Candidates might take notes on major current events to help them remember information and happenings.

How to Prepare Quantitative Aptitude for SSC CGL Tier 1?

  1. It is recommended to use SSC CGL study materials to fully understand each idea and to obtain summarised notes to save time in tests.
  2. Start with percentages, profit and loss, speed, distance, and time, boat and stream questions, ratio and proportion, data interpretation, and so on.
  3. Make a list of all the shortcuts, formulas, concepts, and advice. In Quantitative Aptitude, shortcut tactics might help you save a lot of time.
  4. Concentrate on themes such as simplification, age issues, interest, percentages, ratios, and proportions because they are basic and easy to score.
  5. All key formulas should be memorised by heart. Solve a variety of questions to determine your strong and weak points.
  6. Aspirants should focus more on the fundamentals and acquire shortcut approaches to boost calculating speed so that they can learn effective time management.
  7. Allow at least two hours per day to practise QA questions.
  8. Do not spend more than 25 minutes on this section of the exam.

How to Prepare English Section for SSC CGL Tier 1

  1. Vocabulary, grammar, and comprehension are the three most important factors to consider when preparing for the SSC CGL Tier 1 English exam. If you master vocabulary and grammar, you will have won half the battle.
  2. Aspirants should improve their comprehension skills by reading featured articles and opinion pieces in editorials and periodicals, among other places.
  3. Get hold of suggested SSC CGL English language and grammar books.
  4. This exam's pattern and questions are repeated over and over. As a result, proper preparation can enable you to complete this section in less than 20 minutes.
  5. Every day, practise at least two comprehension pieces. Look up the meaning, synonyms, and antonyms of any new words you come across.
  6. Every day, go over the newspapers.

Important Points to Remember for SSC CGL

  • Focus on Vital Topics: Make a list of important topics to learn and practise a lot of questions on.
  • Work on your weak areas: It is extremely easy to focus on your strong areas, but it is essential to focus on your weaker areas and give it your all. Practice on your weak areas so that you can solve them more easily in the exam.
  • Examine Previous Year's Question Papers: This will provide candidates with a better understanding of the examination format. Aspirants should practise the papers during the revision period so that they are aware of the time constraint and can work on their weak points.
  • Practice. Finally, you should practise as much as possible. The more you practise, the better your comprehension will get.
