HPPSC Assistant Engineer Eligibility Criteria 2022

The eligibility criteria for HPPSC AE is set under the following parameters:
  • Nationality
  • Age Limit
  • Educational Qualification

The details regarding these parameters are as given below.

HPPSC Assistant Engineer Eligibility Criteria: Nationality

Only Indian citizens are eligible to apply for HPPSC AE Exam. Additionally they should be residents of the state of Himachal Pradesh.

HPPSC Assistant Engineer Eligibility Criteria: Age Limit

Candidates should be between 18 to 30 years of age for the post of AE Executive Trainee Mechanical/Civil/Technical and they should be between 18 to 45 years of age for the post of AE Electrical/Civil. There is relaxation in upper age limit provided to candidates belonging to reserved categories, details of which are as given below.
Bonafide SC, ST, OBC, WFF, and Persons with Disabilities of Himachal Pradesh 5 years
In-service candidates and Ex-Servicemen As per the HP Government instructions

HPPSC Assistant Engineer Eligibility Criteria: Educational Qualification

The details of required educational qualifications are as follows:

Assistant Engineer (Civil)

Degree in Mechanical Engineering discipline/ M. Tech. (Mechanical)/ Post Graduate Diploma in Hydro Power Plant Engineering from a recognized University / Institute of India with at least 55%marks in case of SC/ST/ Internal (HPPCL) candidates and 60% Marks in case of other categories.

Degree in Civil Engineering discipline with least 55% marks, in case of SC/ST/ Internal candidates of HPPTCL & for other categories 60% marks having passed the Degree from a recognized University / Institution of India

Assistant Engineer (Electrical) Degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical and Electronics Engineering discipline with least 55% marks, in case of SC/ST/ Internal HPPTCL candidates and for other categories 60% marks having passed the degree from a recognized University / Institution of India.
Assistant Engineer (Executive Trainee Electrical) Full-time B.E./B.Tech. (Electrical) or B.E./B.Tech. (Electrical and Electronics)/M.Tech.(Electrical)/Post Graduate Diploma in Hydro Power Plant Engineering from a recognized University/ Institute of India with at least 55% marks in case of SC/ST/internal (HPPCL) candidates.
Assistant Engineer(Executive Trainee Civil) Full-time B.E./B.Tech. (Civil)/M.Tech in Civil Engineering from a recognized university with at least 55% marks in case of SC/ST/internal (HPPCL) candidates and 60% of other candidates.
 

HPPSC AE Eligibility Criteria: Number of Attempts

There is no restriction on the number of attempts for HPPSC AE Exam. Candidates can appear for the exam as many times as they want provided they fulfill the above mentioned eligibility criteria.
