Know the IBPS Clerk Reasoning Section Exam Pattern:

In reasoning section, there are 35 questions in the preliminary exam carry a weightage of 35 marks to be completed in 20 minutes. whereas in mains there are 45 questions. Maximum weightage is given to the puzzle and seating arrangement part in this section

How To Prepare Reasoning section in IBPS Clerk exam

How to complete the Reasoning Section in the Given time for IBPS Clerk?
  • Never aim to answer every question to boost your attempt rate. As a result, you'll become less accurate and experience confusion when trying to solve them. For bank exam preparation, you could prefer to use the Reasoning Best book.
  • Select the appropriate query first. You should be able to read and understand the question quickly. You should be aware of which questions should be answered right now and which ones can wait till later.
  • Answer the simple questions first. But don't take too long to find the same. because only one question will be shown at a time on the screen.
  • Do not become anxious. Be very relaxed, serene, and self-assured. Do not become anxious.
  • Be mindful of the time. Always keep track of the time and speed while you practise the reasoning questions for the clerk exam.
  • To answer the problems quickly, try to master reasoning tricks. You'll be able to save time by doing this.
  • Examine each section separately. You can examine your performance and have a chance to work on your weaknesses by taking a reasoning test.

Important Topics to be covered for reasoning section In IBPS Clerk (Prelims + Mains)

Puzzles and Seating Arrangement: 
A significant portion of the IBPS Clerk test, as well as any other banking exam, consists of questions on puzzles and seating arrangements. Floors, Tabular form, Blood Relations, etc. are questioned in different variables that may depend on the difficulty level of the questions asked. Puzzles and seating arrangements are based on these different shapes (linear, circular, triangular, rectangular, and occasionally even hexagonal). Additionally, many subjects are also being asked in the form of puzzles. Use reasoning techniques whenever possible to save time.

Syllogism:
If you are well-versed in this subject, getting good grades will be simple for you. To make your practise more effective, try to answer the questions without using paper or a pen. You can easily earn 5 marks if you prepare well for this topic because it is among the easiest and most rewarding.

Sufficient Data
Depending on how complex the question is, the data sufficiency questions may include 2 or 3 statements. There will be a total of 3-5 questions on the subject, if they are asked. You can improve your chances of selection by achieving high grades in this section.

Coding-decoding:
Examiners are permitted to base their questions on both the previous and the current exam format. The subject falls into the easy-moderate level. You can take the Reasoning section test  to get practise with various types of problems.

Blood Connection:
The applicants' cognitive abilities are tested by the questions in this segment. Even though the exam questions are difficult and complicated, if you understand the fundamentals of all these subjects, you can easily handle them. There are many other ways to ask the questions, including through riddles, mixed-blood relationships, coded blood ties, etc.

Direction Sense: This topic may be covered in 4-5 questions. If you are well-versed in the directions, it will be advantageous for you. You can succeed in the 2019 IBPS Clerk Reasoning section by practising from a range of questions.

Machine Input-Output: The issue of machine input and output has been integral to the latest trend of banking exams. If this question is asked, it might be worth up to 5 marks, depending on how difficult it is.
 

Logical Reasoning: 
5–6 logical reasoning-related problems are anticipated. The reasoning logical component of the exam includes questions about inference, cause and effect, a course of action, assumptions, and conclusions. As much as you can, practise verbal argumentation. The difficulty of the questions has always been easy-moderate, making it possible to quickly tackle them. Verbal reasoning might also help you perform well on the IBPS Clerk test.
