The recruitment process for RRB NTPC exam comprises of the following stages:- Computer Based Test I

RRB NTPC Exam Pattern: CBT I
There are questions asked from Mathematics, General Intelligence and Reasoning and General Awareness. A total of 100 questions are asked in this exam. The duration of the exam is 90 minutes. There is negative marking and 1/3 marks are deducted for every incorrect answer. The details are as follows:

RRB NTPC Exam Pattern: CBT II
A total of 120 questions are asked in this stage. The subjects from which questions are asked are the same as in CBT I. The duration of the exam is 90 minutes. There is negative marking and 1/3 marks are deducted for every incorrect answer.

RRB NTPC Exam Pattern: Computer Based Aptitude Test
This test is only for candidates who have opted for the post of Traffic Assistant and Station Master. There is no negative marking in this stage. Candidates need to secure a minimum T-Score of 42 marks in each of the test batteries to qualify. Merit list will be drawn only from amongst the candidates qualifying in the CBAT, with 70% weightage for the marks obtained in the 2nd Stage CBT and 30% weightage for the marks obtained in CBAT.
RRB NTPC Exam Pattern: Typing Skill Test
Total candidates eight times the number of vacancies will be called for Typing Skill Test. This test is qualifying in nature. The candidates should be able to type 30 words per minute (WPM) in English or 25 WPM in Hindi on Personal Computer only without editing tools and spell check facility.
