The Staff Selection Commission has released the official notification for SSC GD Exam 2022. Now, SSC has also released a notice specifying the SSC GD Exam Dates 2022. As per the notice, SSC GD Exam will be conducted between 10th January 2023 to 14th February 2023. Candidates who have applied for the exam must check all the information related to the exam. SSC GD 2022 Latest Update: The Staff Selection Commission has made certain changes in the exam. They are as follows as per the latest notice released by the Commission.

 

What is SSC GD Examination?

SSC General Duty exam is conducted to recruit suitable candidates in paramilitary forces like BSF, CRPF, CISF, ITBP, SSB, and other organizations under Home Ministry like: NIA, SSF and Rifleman in Assam Rifles. This is an all-India Level Exam and with lacks of candidates appearing for the exam. The eligibility criteria and exam pattern is given in the official notification. The SSC GD Exam as per the job role and organization is described below.

SSC GD official notification has been released by the Staff Selection Commission on 27 October 2022. The notification was released on its official website.

SSC GD Exam Eligibility

The eligibility criteria for the exam is mentioned in the official notification. Candidates must ensure they meet all the criteria before they apply for the exam. The SSC GD Exam Eligibility criteria is as follows:

SSC GD Exam Selection Process

There are three satages in SSC GD selection process:

SSC GD Computer Based Test

All the candidates with valid admit cards can appear for this Stage. This is a computer-based exam, where 4 sections are tested for 160 marks in total. The candidates who are successful in this stage are called for the Physical Round.

SSC GD Physical Efficiency Test

The physical test is mandatory and there are no marks awarded for this exam. The candidates who meet the criteria are considered for the medical examination. Otherwise, candidates are rejected.

SSC CD Medical Examination

Before the final selection candidates who have made it through the written round and physical efficiency test are made to go through a medical examination.

 

SSC GD Exam Pattern

There are three phases to the exam, only candidates who clear the three stages and are found medically suitable are selected for various posts under BSF, CRPF, CISF, ITBP,NIA, SSF and Rifleman in Assam Rifles.

Stage 1: – Written Exam (Objective type)
Stage 2: – Physical Standard Test/ Physical Efficiency Test

SSC GD Written Exam Pattern 

The first phase of the SSC GD exam is the online exam. Where candidates will have to secure marks more than a certain cutoff, in order to be eligible for other phases of the exam. SSC has changed the pattern of the exam this year. Now a total of 20 questions will be asked from each section and each question will carry 2 marks. The negative marking will be of 0.5 marks and the duration of the exam has been reduced to 60 minutes.

Physical Standard Test/ Physical Efficiency Test Pattern

All candidates will have to undergo a physical endurance & measurement test. They should meet fixed criteria. Candidates not found medically fit are rejected.
Though there are no marks allotted for this test, it is mandatory to be physically fit is one is to serve in posts under BSF, CRPF, CISF, ITBP,NIA, SSF and Rifleman in Assam Rifles. Following are the physical parameters set for males and females.

SSC GD Exam Application Process

Interested candidates who meet all the eligibility criteria are required to apply online for the examination. The application process for SSC GD 2022 will begin in the month of February. You can follow the below given steps to apply for SSC GD Exam:

  • To apply online for SSC Ground Duty Constable 2021, visit the official website of SSC.
  • Click on the “Register or Login” link.
  • Now click the "GD-Constable" link.
  • Submit your valid details in the application form.
  • Now submit the GD Constable form.
  • You'll get a registration number, save the registration number for future purposes.

The application fee for all candidates is Rs 100 and women/SC/ST/ex-servicemen candidates are exempted from payment of the fee.

 

SSC GD Admit Card

Admit card for SSC GD exam is released a month or so before the Stage one exam.  Candidates who are considered eligible by SSC are given admit card for the 1 ST stage of examination. The admit cards are available online and can be downloaded from the official website of SSC. Candidates can follow the below given steps to download SSC GD Admit Card:

  • Visit the official site of SSC
  • Click on the 'SSC GD Admit Card 2021' Link
  • Now submit your login details (Password and Registration Number)
  • Your admit card will appear on your computer screen
  • Download and take a print out for future use

 

SSC GD Final Result

After all the process the candidates who are left are considered for the merit list by SSC. The marks of all the leftover candidates are compiled and released in form of a merit list by SSC on the official website along with marks of all the candidates. To check the result you can follow the below given steps:

  • Visit the official site of SSC
  • Click on the result link
  • Submit login details if required
  • Your result will appear on your computer screen
