SSC GD Eligibility- Nationality
As for Nationality, the eligibility is for candidates is as mentioned below. In order to be eligible to appear for the exam, candidates must satisfy these nationality criterias and must be:
- A citizen of India, or
- A subject of Bhutan, or
- A subject of Nepal, or
- A Tibetan refugee who migrated to India before 1st January 1962, with the intention of residing in India permanently, or
- A person of Indian origin who has migrated from Burma, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Uganda, Kenya, the United Republic of Tanzania (Formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Malawi, Ethiopia, Zaire, Zambia, and Vietnam with the intention of settling in India permanently.
SSC GD Eligibility: Age Limit
There are various posts in SSC GD Exam that the candidates can apply for and the age limit for each of these posts is different. The age limit for candidates is 18-23 years as on 01-01-2023. Candidates should not have been born earlier than 02-01-2000 and later than 01-01-2005 in normal course. However, after relaxation of three (03) years in upper age, the candidate should not have been born earlier than 02-01-1997.

SSC GD Age Relaxation
Along with the above age limits, SSC offers age relaxations to candidates belonging to certain categories which are as follows:
