SSC Stenographer Exam Pattern 2022

SSC Stenographer Exam comprises of two stages:
  • Tier I- Online (Computer Based Test)
  • Tier II- Shorthand Skill test
The details regarding the pattern of these tests are described below.

SSC Stenographer Exam Pattern: Tier I

There are a total of 200 questions asked in this exam. It is conducted online. The subjects from which questions are asked include- General Awareness, General Intelligence & Reasoning and English Language & Comprehension. The duration of the exam 2 hours. Each question carries one mark. There is negative marking and 0.25 marks are deducted for every incorrect answer. The detailed exam pattern is as follows:

SSC Stenographer Exam Pattern: Tier II

This is a shorthand skill test. Candidates will be dictated a passage which they have to note down on a paper and then transcribe it on a computer. The language of the dictation can be hindi or english as chosen by the candidate while filling the application form. The details are as follows:
