Uttrakhand Public Services Commission conducted the UK PSC Exam throughout the state. As per the media sources, the exam saw an attendance of 39% with 61 % of candidates skipping the exam. The UK PCS Prelims Exam was held on 3rd of March, and the result for the same will be declared soon. The Prelims Exam for UKPSC was moderate to difficult, with the questions from all the sections of the syllabus like - Geography, History, economy, polity, general science, and current affairs. The number of questions from the Uttrakhand Specific section saw a dip this year. The detailed exam analysis for UKPSC is given below. UK PSC Exam Analysis

UKPSC Prelims 2022 was conducted on 3 rd of April 2022. The UKPSC Prelims examination was conducted in two shifts. In the first shift, the UKPSC Prelims’ first paper (GS 1) was conducted between 10:00 AM to 12:00 Noon. In the second shift, the second Paper (General Aptitude) of UKPSC Prelims’ 2022 was conducted between 2 PM to 4 PM.  The detailed subject wise analysis is as follows:

UKPSC Exam Analysis - Polity Section

The question in this section was straightforward and could be done easily. Questions were asked form topics like - Fundamental Rights, Public Accounts Committee, Judiciary and  NDC, Zonal council, etc.

UKPSC Exam Analysis - History 

The History questions comprised of Modern History, Ancient History, and Medival History. The questions in the History section need a separate analysis for each section:

  1. Modern History - Questions were easy and they were attempted by the most with comfort. The questions came form topics like - Quit India Movement etc .
  2. Ancient India and Culture - The questions from this section was tough and the questions were factual and unconventional. The questions that could be ssen were - Kaktya Kingdom, Classical Dance forms, Questions on Pranayam in Maurayan Times etc.
  3. Medival History - This section was moderate to difficult. The questions were from the standard sections.

UKPSC Exam Analysis - Economy 


The questions in this section were conceptual to an extent but largely were factual. Considering were good 10 to 15 questions based on the economy. The section had lot of weightage, unlike other State PSC exams.

UKPSC Exam Analysis - Science and Tech

The questions from this section were easy. This exam witnessed questions from traditional sections like the general science portion including physics, chemistry and biology—a peculiar pattern found this time.

UKPSC Exam Analysis - Geography 


The questions were basic but very factual most of the candidates had difficulty in this section. The conceptual question was missing which made this section difficult.

UKPSC Exam Analysis - Current Affairs 

 The questions from this section were moderate to difficult. Following the trend, UKPSC has continued asking factual and traditional questions from this section. The questions could be solved with factual knowledge

UKPCS Exam Analysis - Uttrakhand Specific 


The questions from this section were easy and the section had less weightage campared to previous years. The question from this section could be solved with basic knowledge of the state.

Overall since the nature of questions asked were very factual and after taking into consideration the performance by candidates we can say that the factual nature of the questions made the paper difficult.
