Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) 2022: Eligibility Criteria
Following are the eligibility criteria for various courses:
Maximum Age limit
- Diploma Courses: 21 years
- Graduate Courses: 24 years
- Postgraduate Courses: 27 years
B.Tech and B. Arch. Programme:
- Passed this University's senior high school certificate or an equivalent test with 50% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and English.
- Candidates with a Diploma in Engineering and an aggregate of at least 50% are also eligible to apply for both programmes.
For B.A.LL.B:
- Passed the Senior Secondary School Certificate or an equivalent examination with a minimum of 50%.
- The maximum age for enrollment is 22 years old as of July 1st of the year of admission.
For B.A. (Hons.):
- Senior Secondary School Certificate or its equivalent examination with a minimum aggregate of 45% marks in English and in any three of the subjects from Biology, Biotechnology, Chemistry, Accountancy, Arabic, Banking, Business Organization, Business Studies, Commerce, Computer Science, Economics, English, Mathematics, Fine Arts, Geography, Hindi, History, Home Science, Islamic Studies, Persian, Philosophy, Physical Health Education, Physics, Sanskrit, Sociology, Urdu, Political Science/Civics, Psychology and modern Indian Languages from the recognized University.
For B.Sc (Hons.):
- Passed Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination or its equivalent examination with a minimum 55% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Mathematics, English.
For M.Sc (Biotechnology):
- Candidates who have finished a bachelor's degree in the 10+2+3 education pattern with Biological Sciences, Agriculture, Veterinary Sciences, and Physical Sciences or Chemistry are eligible to apply for this programme.
- If the candidate has a B.Tech, MBBS, or B.Pharma degree with at least 55% marks, he or she is qualified to apply.
- Sc degree holders or those who have completed their M.Sc (1 year) with a grade point average of 55% are also eligible to apply.
For MBA:
- Bachelor’s degree with 50% aggregate marks is required.
For Diploma in Nursing and Midwifery:
- Senior Secondary School Certificate of this University or an equivalent examination passed with 40% aggregate marks.
AMU 2022 Application Form
The following are the entire details that candidates should be aware of regarding the AMU 2022 Application Form:
- The Application Form will be made available online.
- The registration process for each test may change depending on the course.
- From the first week of April 2022 through the first week of June 2022, the registration process for the B.Tech. programme will be controlled.
- Candidates must validate their eligibility for the test before filling out the application form since the form will only be available to qualified candidates.
- Candidates must complete the application form in accordance with the instructions provided.
- Candidates must fill out the application form with the identical information that appears on their mark sheet; any changes to the application form will result in its rejection.

To complete the application form, candidates must pay the application fee. The fee can be paid online (through debit/credit card/net banking) or offline (by ICICI or Canara Bank bank challan or DD written in favour of "Finance Officer" payable at Aligarh).

AMU Admit Card
Candidates should visit AMU's official website because the hall ticket will only be accessible online. Admit cards will be distributed one or two weeks before the admission exam. The hall ticket contains the candidate's name, father's name, roll number, exam date and time, category, examination centre, and other information. Candidates can obtain the admission card by downloading it and pasting their most recent passport-sized photograph on it. Applicants are urged to carry their admit card to the examination and keep it secure till admission.
AMU Admission 2022
- The final assignment of seats will be made based on the marks obtained by the candidates in the entrance test.
- The candidate's performance in the GD/Interview (if relevant) will also be considered for admission selection.
- At the time of admission, candidates must produce the original qualifying examination mark sheet, migration certificate, and character certificate.
