The initiative's program director will be Sudhir Misra of IIT Kanpur's Civil Engineering Department. "At the moment, the agreement is for a year. The first course is likely to be offered in July 2022, but the details of the courses to be offered are still being worked out," said Sudhir Misra, the EEP program director.
The EEP courses would cover various elements of infrastructure management, such as innovations in construction and other technologies, sustainable infrastructure and infrastructure financing, construction quality and safety issues, contract management, and so on.
The attendees will also be exposed to impending technical breakthroughs in infrastructure creation and management. Engineers from government ministries will also be educated on the latest breakthroughs in these fields as part of the effort.
Though most classes in the EEP will be held in an offline format, some special sessions may be held through video conferencing to maximize resource use while maintaining the quality of material available to participants. In their early stages, courses are likely to be tailored to certain businesses or companies, however, they may be open to participants from a variety of industries.
