The Sagarmala program was approved by the Union Cabinet in March 2015. As of March 2020, some 500 projects with a total investment value of USD 47.33 billion have been identified. Of these, 143 projects worth US $ 11.73 billion have been completed, with the remaining 357 projects at various stages of implementation and development.
