Eligibility Criteria for Assam Police Constable, Commander and Driver Posts
Educational Qualification:
- Constable (WO/WT/OPR) - 10+2 (Science) from a recognised Board or Council with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM). To apply for the position, candidates must have passed the Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) sections of the 10+2 (Science) test.
- HSSLC or Class XII passed from a recognised Board or Council. Constable (UB) - HSSLC or Class XII passed from a recognised Board or Council.
- Constable (Messenger) - Must have passed the HSLC or comparable examination from a recognised Board or Council and have a valid driver's licence for LMV, MMV, and HMV, among other things.
- Constable (Carpenter) - HSLC or equivalent test from a recognised Board or Council, as well as completion of a prescribed ITI programme in the trade.
- Constable (Dispatch Rider) - HSLC or comparable examination passed from a recognised Board or Council, as well as a valid LMV, MMV, or HMV driving licence.
- Assistant Squad Commander - 12th grade or equivalent (Science) with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) from a recognised Board or Council is required. To apply for the position, candidates must have passed the Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) sections of the 10+2 (Science) test.
- Driver Operator - 8th class pass and a valid HMV (Heavy Motor Vehicles) driving licence from a recognised authority (Assam State only).
Age Limit:
- Constables in APRO & Driver (Operator) in F & ES - 18 to 25 years
- Assistant Squad Commander - 20 to 24 years
