Educational Background:
- Inspector (Architect) - Architect having a degree from a recognised university and registration with the American Institute of Architects.
- Sub Inspector (Works) - Civil Engineering Diploma
- Diploma in Electrical Engineering required for Junior Engineer/Sub Inspector (Electrical).

The candidate must not be older than 30 years old.

- According to the 7th CPC, Inspector (Architect) - Pay Matrix Level 7 (Rs. 44,900 - 1, 42,400).
- Junior Engineer/ Sub Inspector (Electrical) - Pay Matrix Level 6 Sub Inspector (Works), Junior Engineer/ Sub Inspector (Electrical) (Rs. 35,400 - 1, 12, 400)
