The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has published the recruitment notice for the position of Head Constable for Assistant Wireless Operator (AWO)/Tele-Printer Operator (TPO) 857 people will be employed by the Delhi Police. The prerequisite for applying for these positions is a 12th grade science diploma.

On its official website, ssc.nic.in, the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has published the recruitment notice for the position of Head Constable for Assistant Wireless Operator (AWO)/Tele-Printer Operator (TPO in the Delhi Police. Candidates who wish to become Head Constables in the Delhi Police will need to show up for an online test that will be held in November 2022. Within a certain time window, applicants must submit their applications online at ssc.nic.in. The prerequisite for applying for these positions is a 12th grade science diploma. 857 people will be employed by the Delhi Police. Mechanic-Cum-Operator (Electronic Communications System) ITI candidates are also acceptable.

Eligibility Requirements

Candidates must have completed the 12th grade with a science major OR hold a National Trade Certificate (NTC) in mechanic-computer operator (electrical communications system) with a qualification in nature. 1000 key depressions in 15 minutes: English word processing speed test. Basic computer skills test: opening/closing of the computer, printing, using Microsoft Office, saving and editing written text, putting up paragraphs and numbers, etc.

Choice Process

The following steps will be needed of the candidates:
  • Delhi Police's Written Exam (CBT Mode)- 100 Marks Physical Endurance & Measurement Test (PE&MT)- Qualifying Trade Test- Qualifying Test in English Word Processing In 15 minutes, VSpeed-1000 key depression. Basic computer skills test: opening and closing the computer, printing, using Microsoft Office, storing and editing written text, putting up paragraphs and numbers, etc.

Police in Delhi HC PET 2022

Delhi Police would exclusively perform PE&MT in Delhi. The Delhi Police will give the SSC the PE&MT schedules and locations. After that, SSC will give a website so that all applicants who were shortlisted to participate in PE&MT may obtain their admit cards and admission certificates. Delhi Police will post the notice regarding applicants' ability to download their admit cards on its website.

HC Trade Test for Delhi Police in 2022

  • The Physical Endurance & Measurement Test (PE&MT) qualifying applicants will be contacted for the Trade Test. Candidates must pass the trade test in order to be qualified to take the Proficiency in Computer Operation exam. Anyone who fails to show up for the trade test or does not pass it will be disqualified.
  • The purpose of the Trade Test (Reading & Dictation) is to evaluate a candidate's communication skills. The format of this test will be reading aloud and dictating. The applicants will get the dictation in both Hindi and English in groups with the appropriate number of candidates taking dictation in each group. Candidates who make more than 50% of errors when dictating in Hindi or English are rejected. Each candidate will have to read a passage from the provided material in both Hindi and English during the reading exam, which will be videotaped.
  • All applicants who meet the requirements for the Trade Test (Reading & Dictation) will be required to take a Test of Proficiency in Computer Operation that will be qualifying in character. 1000 key depressions in 15 minutes for a speed test on word processing in English (ii) Basic computer functions are tested, including opening and closing the computer, printing, using Microsoft Office, saving and editing written text, establishing paragraph breaks and numbers, and more. Test of English Word Processing Speed Each candidate would be given a written passage in English that had 200 words and would be asked to enter the same in a computerized test of English word processing speed. The test would involve 1000 key depressions being made in 15 minutes.
  • Basic computer functions are tested, including opening and closing the computer, printing, using Microsoft Office, saving and editing written text, establishing paragraph breaks and numbers, and more.

Final Selection for Delhi Police in 2022

The Staff Selection Commission will prepare & announce the final list of candidates who have been provisionally selected from the list of applicants who have been declared qualified in the PE&MT and required skill/trade tests strictly on the basis of merit of the tests/examinations prescribed for the post and upload it on its official website. In addition to the applicants chosen for the advertised positions based on their merit, category-wise, the SSC will also create a "reserve panel/additional list" of 15% candidates, which will be given to the Delhi Police in a sealed cover and not uploaded. The "Reserve Panel" will be in effect for two years or until the announcement of the following recruitment, whichever comes first.
