IMO Exams (Level 1 and Level 2)
The IMO level 1 exam is open to all students in grades 1 through 12. There is no minimum score requirement for the level 1 test. To take the level 2 exam, students must pass the level 1 test. Students in grades 1 and 2 are not required to take the level 2 Olympiad exam. The marks are determined on the basis of the performance of the students on level 1.
The IMO level 1 competition consists of-
- 50 objective-style questions for grades 5 to 12 and 35 questions of same nature for grades 1 to 4 are given.
- Each grade has a 60-minute exam, and instructions are in the English language.
- The sectional scores become the basis of deciding the ranks if two or more students receive the same score in the IMO exam.
