Natural vegetation and wildlife		To identify the nature of assorted plants and animals.
Human Environment	Transport and communication.	To clarify the correlation between the natural environment and human habitat. To realize the requirement of transport and communication for progress of the community. To be well-known with the new progressions making today’s world a global society.
Human – Environment Interaction	Case Studies – life in desert regions – Sahara and Ladakh; life in tropical and sub-tropical regions -Amazon and Ganga-Brahmaputra; life in temperate regions – Prairies and Veldt.	To comprehend the compound interdependence of human and natural environment. To liken life in one’s own environment with life of other environmental factors.  To realize the cultural disparities existing in the world, which is a result of interaction between human beings and their surroundings?
