National Cyber Olympiad (NCO) aims to improve the cyber security in India. All the data, networks and all other useful information should be preserved from unauthorized access, destruction, or tampering by cybersecurity. The role of cyber security is significant in today’s world because of the high risks associated with cyber-attacks. For protecting the data, many companies in the world are creating software used for saving the program.

NCO Registration 2022-2023
The candidates can participate in the exam through the application form available in school. SOF sends the required details for the exam to the schools in the country and other participating Asian Countries. These details include a prospectus, application forms, brochures, and other related details.
Registration Process
- Applicants can see the Exam dates for the National Cyber Olympiad (NCO) on the official website of SOF. The registration can be done either through school or by one's self.
- A minimum of 10 students are required for any school to participate in the NCO.
- The fee for registration in the NCO exam is INR 125, including GST. The students having any disability or whose parents lost their lives in Defense are exempted from the fees.
- The school can charge Rs. 25 extra for meeting other expenses related to the NCO Exam.

NCO Eligibility Criteria 2022-2023
- The registration of the school must be done with SOF. If your school is not registered with the Science Olympiad Foundation (SOF), it can do so by contacting the organizing body through e-mail or phone call.
- Students studying from Classes 1 to 10 are eligible for National Cyber Olympiad (NCO).
- The application form must be filled out by the registered school. Candidates should also know that SOF does not entertain individual registration. It has to be done through schools.
- The compulsory subjects for this Olympiad are Computer and IT.
- Students belonging to CBSE, ICSE, and other state boards are welcome to participate in the National Cyber Olympiad (NCO) exam.
- The Olympiad is conducted once a year.

NCO Syllabus 2022-2023
The NCO Syllabus is framed by the Science Olympiad Foundation for classes 1 to 10. The candidates can easily check the syllabus on the official website of SOF. Candidates should also learn the exam pattern and syllabus before preparing for the National Cyber Olympiad (NCO). This will help the students prepare better.

NCO Exam Pattern 2022-2023
The NCO Exam pattern is given below for classes 1 to 10. The time allotted for the test is one hour for each class. The candidates can go through the question papers and the marking pattern.

The results of the National Cyber Olympiad (NCO) will be released by SOF in January 2023. Candidates can see the results on the official website of SOF. The students need to fill up their roll number. and simultaneously have to solve a math problem given in the captcha to see the results.
The results will be based on ranks at national, international, and zonal levels. Once the results are out, the SOF will issue a participation certificate and performance report. Students will get a reward in terms of medals and certificates.

Candidates should follow the following steps to check the results-

The next step is to solve the math problem given in Captcha.

Ranking Criteria of NCO results 2022-2023
The rank will be given according to students' marks in the exam. If the results have a tie, the following steps are to be considered:

The student who has scored more marks in the Achievers section will be given priority
-
If the tie remains the same, the marks of Computer and Information Technology followed by logical and analytical reasoning are considered
NCO Awards
The SOF awards the students with cash prizes, certificates, and medals. The awards will be given at three-level national, international and zonal.
NCO Awards at the zonal level

The top 260 students will get INR 1000 each, along with a zonal gold medal and certificate of zonal excellence.

The top 260 second-rank holders will get INR 1000, a zonal silver medal, and a certificate of Zonal excellence.
-
The top 260 third-rank holders will get INR 1000, a bronze medal, and a certificate of zonal excellence.
-
The students who secure 4th rank will be awarded INR 500, a medal of distinction, and a certificate of participation.

3900 awards, including the medal of distinction and certificate of distinction, will be given to the candidates who rank 11 to 25.

The conducting body gives a certificate of participation to candidates who score above 26 ranks.
NCO Awards at International Level

The top 10 rank holders will win INR 50,000 and a gold medal with a certificate of outstanding performance.

The top 10 second-rank holders will get INR 25000, a silver medal with a certificate of outstanding performance.

The top 10 third-rank holders will win INR 10,000, a bronze medal with a certificate of outstanding performance.
