Indian Air Force conducts Air Force Common Admission Test (AFCAT), for recruitment of candidates into Flying (Short Service Commission only), Technical (Permanent and Short Service Commission) and Ground Duty (Permanent and Short Service Commission) Branches.  AFCAT exam is conducted twice a year. The selection procedure consists of three stages which are as follows:

  • AFCAT Online Test-  it is to be held on 26th, 27th and 28th August 2022
  • AFSB- Air Force Selection Board Interview- Dates will be out after the completion of written examination.
  • Medical Test- Only for candidates who are judged suitable after the interview round.

AFCAT Exam Pattern 2022

Candidates applying for Non-Technical posts have to only appear for AFCAT exam while candidates applying for Technical posts have to also appear for Engineering Knowledge Test (EKT).
