BPSC Eligibility: Age Limit

The age limit for the BPSC exam varies according to the post applied for. The average ranges from 20-22 with different upper limits for different posts. For further information you may refer to the table provided below:

Probation Officer 21 years
Rural Development Officer 21 years

Relaxation of Age for Ex-Serviceman:

(a) Relaxation of 3 Years of Age for the Ex-Serviceman (Permanent Commission).
(b) Relaxation of 5 Years of Age for the Ex-Serviceman (Short Service Commission etc.).
  • Relaxation of 5 Years of Age for govt employees.
  • Relaxation of 10 Years of Age for Divyang People.

BPSC Eligibility: Educational Qualification

According to the BPSC Eligibility Criteria, educational qualifications are broadly categorised into two categories: A Master's Degree from a reputable university, or an equivalent qualification.

  • SC/ST – 5 feet 3 inches.
  • For General Category Male – 5 feet 5 inches
  • Women candidates – 5 feet 2 inches
  • SC/ST (Male) is 31 inches
  • General category (Male) is 32 inches
