The table below lists the CISF eligibility requirements for the position of Constable/tradesmen. Age limit, educational qualification, physical standards, and medical standards are all included below as eligibility conditions. This is a deciding element because documentation for the same will be requested during the document verification phase. Any candidate who fails to submit these documents will have their candidature disqualified immediately.

CISF Constable: Age Limit


We have included the age restriction eligibility criteria below. All applicants applying for the post of constable in the CISF Constable test 2022 must be between the ages of 18 and 23.

Relaxation of  Age Criteria 

Candidates from the non-creamy layer have been offered an age relaxation by the conducting body. Candidates from the schedule caste, schedule tribe, and other similar groups are eligible for age relaxation if they are over the age of 23. The table for which the age relaxation rule is implemented is shown below.

CISF Constable Educational Qualification

 

Matriculation (Class 10th pass) or its equivalent from a recognised board for skilled trades is required (i.e. Barber, Mason, Cook, Carpenter, Boot Maker, Electrician, Mali, Painter, Plumber and Washer Man). Personnel trained at the Industrial Training Institute will be given special consideration. For unskilled trades (i.e. Sweeper) candidates must have a Matriculation or its equivalent from a recognised board .

CISF Constable : Physical Standards


Candidates must verify the CISF Eligibility criterion for Constable after evaluating their age and educational qualifications. Physical Standards is another important factor to consider. The authority has established the physical requirements for the position, including body measurements, height, and other factors, and the complete table contains significant information about the CISF Physical Standards. Because this need is applicable to male candidates, we've included some physical requirements for them.

Garhwalis, Kumaonese, Gorkhas, Dogras, Nagaland, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Marathas, or inhabitants of Sikkim Tripura, Mizoram, Meghalaya, Assam, Himachal Pradesh and Jammu & Kashmir subject to production of the certificate as per Annexure –“VI”.

The above standards mentioned [Para 4 c (ii)(a)] will be applicable for all categories (i.e.general, EWS, OBC & SC).

Important. : Candidates who are ex-servicemen are eligible for a complete reduction of physical requirements.

 

CISF Constable: Medical Standards

 

Candidates must not have a knock knee, flat foot, varicose vein or squint in eyes. Candidates should be mentally & physically sound for the post .The Medical Standards required for the post of CISF Constable are listed in the table below. The following table lists the minimum weight and vision requirements for the candidate.

CISF Constable Eligibility Criteria: For Ex-Servicemen

To learn more about the CISF Eligibility Criteria 2022 for Ex-Servicemen, read the following material. 
  1. Ex-servicemen with the rank of Lance Naik or Sepoy in the Army, or comparable status in the Air Force or Navy, may apply for the position of Constable/Tradesmen. 
  2. Ex-soldiers with the rank of Nayab-Subedar, Havildar, Subedar, Naik, or comparable rank in the Army, Navy, or Air Force are also eligible to apply.
  3. Break-in Service: Ex-servicemen must have served in the Army, Navy, or Air Force for no more than three years as of the closing date for receiving applications from applicants, including candidates from the North East Region. 
  4. On production of caste certificates in the prescribed format, SC/ST applicants must be 05 years old and OBC candidates must be 03 years old. The deadline for calculating the age restriction for candidates, including those from the North East Region, is fast approaching. 
  5. Candidates must have completed Matriculation or the equivalent, or Army 1st Class or the equivalent in the Air Force or Navy
