CUCET/CUET Exam Pattern Section IA  

Paper I of CUCET or which was known as Section IA. Candidates can choose from one of the 13 languages like  Hindi, Marathi, Gujarati, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Urdu, Assamese, Bengali, Punjabi, Odia, and English. Candidates will have the option to opt for additional languages like French, Spanish, German, Nepali, Persian, Italian, Arabic, Sindhi, Kashmiri, Konkani, Bodo, Dogri, Maithili, Manipuri, Santhali, Tibetan, Japanese, Russian and Chinese if they wish to pursue courses in them. Candidates will get 45 minutes for each language and the candidate must attempt 40 questions out of 50 for each opted language.

The exam will test reading comprehension, questions on vocabulary, synonyms, and antonyms, besides other things.

CUCET Exam Pattern Section IB 

There are 19** Languages in Section IB. Any other language apart from those offered in Section IA may be chosen. The candidate must attempt 40 questions out of 50 in each language. There will be 45 minutes for each language. The exam will test reading comprehension, questions on vocabulary, synonyms, and antonyms, besides other things.

CUCET Exam Pattern Section II

This section is related to the domain of candidates. Candidates who wish to pursue courses in the specific domain will have to clear this section. This section will be held for 27 domains like: Accountancy/ Book Keeping, Biology/ Biological Studies/ Biotechnology, Business Studies, Chemistry, Computer Science/ Informatics Practices, Economics/ Business Economics, Engineering Graphics, Entrepreneurship, Geography, History, Home Science, Knowledge Tradition–Practices India, Legal Studies, Commercial Arts, Mathematics, Physical Education/ NCC, Physics, Political Science, Psychology, Sociology, Teaching Aptitude, Agriculture, Mass Media/ Mass Communication, Anthropology, Fine Arts/ Visual Arts (Sculpture/ Painting), Performing Arts and Sanskrit. the candidate will get 45 minutes for each domain subject. Candidates must attempt 40 out of 50 questions. Moreover, a candidate can choose 06 Domains as desired by the applicable University/
Universities. 

CUCET Exam Pattern Section III:

For any such Undergraduate programme/programmes provided by Universities in which the General Test is in use for admission. A candidate has to select 60 questions out of 75. There will be 60 minutes given for this section. The question can be asked from General Knowledge, Current Affairs, General Mental Ability, Numerical Ability, Quantitative Reasoning. Input text can be used for MCQ Based Questions.

2. Candidate should select the Tests/Subjects in Slot 1 and Slot 2 as follows:
A. Slot 1: Up to 4 Subjects/Tests
Section IA and IB: 1 Language
Section II: 2 Domain-Specific Subjects
Section III: General test
B. Slot 2: Up to 5 Subjects/Tests
Section IA and IB: 1 Language
Section II: Maximum 4 Domain-Specific Subjects

Section IA and IB: 2 Languages
Section II: Maximum 3 Domain-Specific Subjects.
3. The number of domain subjects selected by the candidate depends on the requirements of the desired University for the desired course.
4. The test other than the “Language” test offers 13 languages i.e. Bengali, Assamese, Bengali, English, Gujarati, Hindi, Malayalam, Kannada, Marathi, Punjabi, Odia, Urdu, and Telugu.
5. Language test will be for assessing the skill/proficiency of the candidate in language which is selected by him/her.
6. Each question will be 5 marks. There will be a negative marking of 1 mark on each wrong answer.
7. CUET (UG) 2022 offers a bouquet of Subjects/Languages/General test which covers most of the languages/subjects offered by most the Universities.
