DSSSB Stenographer Eligibility Criteria: Nationality

Candidates should be citizens of India to be eligible for DSSSB Stenographer Exam.

DSSSB Stenographer Eligibility Criteria: Age Limit

Candidates should be between 18 to 35 years of age to be eligible for DSSSB Stenographer Exam. There is relaxation in upper age limit provided to candidates belonging to reserved categories. The details are as follows:

Widows/ Divorced Women/ Women judicially separated and are not re-married

Up To age of 35 years for General, 38 years for OBC and 40 years for SC/ST

ESM

Period of Military Service plus 3 years

Disabled Defence services personnel

Up to 45 years for General, 48 years for OBC and 50 years for SC/ST

Meritorious Sports Person

Extension by 5 years for General, 8 years for OBC and 10 years for SC/ST

 

DSSSB Stenographer Eligibility Criteria: Educational Qualification

Candidate should have completed matriculation from a recognised Board. For the post of English stenographer, the candidate must have a typing speed of 100/40 w.p.m. in English shorthand/computer typewriting. For the post of Hindi stenographer, the candidate must have a typing speed of 80/30 w.p.m. in Hindi shorthand/computer typewriting.

There is no restriction on the number of attempts for DSSSB Stenographer Exam. Candidates can appear for the exam as many times as they want provided they fulfill the eligibility criteria mentioned above.
