Haryana Education Department has notfied that the exams for students of Class III to IX and Class XI are to be held from today onwards.
The examinations will be online and will be conducted through the Avsar App.
Class X and XII Board exams will be offline.
The exams were earlier scheduled to begin from 1st Fenruary, 2021 but due to the ongoing farmers' protest which has led to internet suspension in many areas, the exmas has to be rescheduled to a later date.
" This is to inform you that the department has released a fresh schedule for the online assessment of students of Class III-IX and XI via the Avsar app.
You need to ensure that all the teachers and students are informed about the same and that the exams are conducted in a seamless manner", read the order which was directed to the officials from the Directorate of School Education.
The online exams will be conducted on the entire syllabus that has been taught till December, 2020 and the questions will be objective in nature.
These online exams by the Directorate of School Education are being considered a way to assess the learning of the students through the online platform and also evaluate the comfort of students in taking the exam through the online app.
The students have been given the liberty to choose their own timings to give the exam since many students use their parents' phones to access classes or tests and also have connectivity issues.
Students have been trained to use the app and also the teachers and a team which was trained in December to help conduct these exams have been told to help students with any form of query or issue while giving the exam.
