The Institute of Banking and Personnel Selection (IBPS) has released the official IBPS RRB recruitment notification for the selection of Officers (Scale-I, II & III) and Office Assistants (Multipurpose) in Regional Rural Banks (RRBs). The notification was released on June 6, 2022, on its official website.
Notably, the last date to apply for the recruitment was June 27, 2022. IBPS every year conducts a national level exam to recruit eligible and interested candidates to work in Regional Rural Banks. IBPS RRB: What is IBPS RRB?

IBPS RRB stands for IBPS Regional Rural Banks. IBPS RRB Exam is a national level exam conducted by Institute of Banking Personnel Selection to recruit eligible and interested candidates for Group A and Group B posts in various Regional Rural Banks. Group A posts are that of Officer (Scale- I, II and III) and Group B posts are that of Office Assistant (Multipurpose). For Grade A posts, candidates are recruited through a selection process comprising of Preliminary Exam, Mains/ Single Level Exam and Interview. For Group B posts candidates have to appear in a Preliminary Exam and then a Mains Exam. Candidates who qualify the exam are allotted one of the participating RRBs based on total vacancies and merit-cum preference basis.

IBPS RRB Recruitment 2022: Eligibility Criteria 

The eligibility criteria for IBPS RRB Recruitment 2022 comprises of all the eligibility criterias along nationality, age limit and educational criteria. The eligibility in terms of nationality is as follows:
Nationality A candidate must be either - (i) a Citizen of India or (ii) a subject of Nepal or (iii) a subject of Bhutan or (iv) a Tibetan Refugee who came over to India before 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India or (v) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India, provided that a candidate belonging to categories (ii), (iii), (iv) & (v) above shall be a person in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India.
 

Age Limit (As on June 1, 2022)

The age limit for IBPS RRB Recruitment 2022 is as follows:
Officer Scale-III (Senior Manager) Candidate should be above 21 years and below 40 years of age
Officer Scale-II (Manager) Candidate should be above 21 years and below 32 years of age
Officer Scale-I (Assistant Manager) Candidate should be above 18 years and below 30 years of age

Educational Qualifications:

The educational qualifications required to be eligible to apply for IBPS RRB Recruitment 2022 are as follows:

IBPS RRB Recruitment 2022: Selection Process

The selection process for IBPS RRB Recruitment comprises of different exams that candidates have to appear for after sumitting the application form. The selection process differs for different posts:
  • Officer Scale I: For this post, candiates have to appear in a Preliminary Examination, followed by Mains Examination and Interview to be finally selected.
  • Officer Scale II and III: Candidates have to appear in a Single Level Examination and Interview.
  • Office Assisatant: Candidates have to appear in a Preliminary Examination followed by Mains Examination.

Candidates can start applying for IBPS RRB Recruitment 2022 from June 7, 2022 onwards by visiting the official website of IBPS. The last date to apply is June 27, 2022.
The steps to apply for IBPS RRB Recruitment 2022 are as follows:
1.Candidates  must visit  IBPS’s official website ibps.in and then click on the Home Page to open the link “CRP for RRBs” 
2. Click on “CLICK HERE TO APPLY ONLINE FOR CRP- RRBsOFFICERS (Scale-I, II and III)” or “CLICK HERE TO APPLY ONLINE FOR CRP- RRBs- OFFICE ASSISTANT (Multipurpose)” ” to open up the On-Line Application Form.
3.The next step is to click on “CLICK HERE FOR NEW REGISTRATION” to register their application by entering their basic information in the online application form.
4.After sucessfully registering they will have to login using their credentials and start filling up the online application form.
5.After filling the form , upload your photograph , signature , hand written declaration etc
6.Check the entire form carefully as you can't edit it once submitted and then click on COMPLETE REGISTRATION Button
7. Pay the fee , submit the form and then take a printout of form for future purpose.

IBPS RRB Clerk Selection will be on the basis of preliminary exam, mains exam and thereafter will be the provisional allotment.
IBPS RRB Po Selection will be on the basis of preliminary exam, mains exam, interview and thereafter will be the provisional allotment.

The preliminary exam of IBPS RRB Recruitment 2020 was easy to moderate in terms of difficulty level. The candidates said that they could easily attempt a good number of questions in the exam.

IBPS Prelims Exam for Office Assistant

The difficulty level of the overall paper was easy to moderate. Along with this, the difficulty level of important sections such as quantitative aptitude and reasoning was also easy to moderate.

IBPS Mains Exam for Officer Scale I

The overall paper was easy to moderate in terms of difficulty level. The Reasoning section was easy while the General Awareness section was easy to moderate. The Numerical Ability, English/Hindi sections were easy to moderate. The Computer Knowledge section was easy. 

IBPS Mains Exam for Office Assistant

The overall difficulty level of the mains exam was moderate to difficult. The English Language section was moderate, the Quantitative Aptitude section was moderate to difficult, the Reasoning Ability section was moderate to difficult, the Computer Aptitude section was easy and the General Awareness section was moderate. 
 

IBPS RRB is a sought after bank exam in India. Last year 5 lakh candidates appeared for the IBPS RRB PO exam while approx 4.10 lakh candidates appeared for the IBPS RRB Clerk exam out of total registered candidates. In 2019, around 30 lakh candidates filled the application form, in which approx 12 lakh candidates applied for IBPS RRB PO, and more than 15 lakh candidates registered for the Office Assistant exam.
