Last year the board exams were cancelled by the ICSE board and students were evaluated on the basis of marks recieved in internal assessment. The candidates were evaluated based on the marks obtained in the best three subjects marks for which board exams were earlier held and also on the basis of their internal assessment and project work marks.
This decision comes two days after the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) cancelled the 10th board exams of class 10th and postponed those of class 12th.
Even many other state boards -- such as Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, Gujarat and Odisha -- have postponed and cancelled their class 10th and 12th exams.
