What does the 2022 CUET Normalization Process based on Percentile Score entail?
A well-known method for comparing candidate scores on multi-session papers is the normalising procedure. The NTA will use the percentile score, which is based on the comparative performance of all candidates who take the examination, for the CUET 2022 normalisation process. For each session of examinees, the entrance exam results are converted into a scale with values ranging from 100 to 0.The percentile score reveals the proportion of candidates who scored at or below a given percentile on that test.

As a result, each session's top scorer will receive a percentile of 100, which is desirable. Also adjusted to the relevant percentiles are the marks between the greatest and lowest scores. The merit lists will then be created using percentile scores rather than the candidate's raw marks.Meanwhile, you can check the CUET Hindu College cut-off.

Formula for CUET Marks Normalization in 2022
The process for calculating the percentile and preparing the CUET results are described below.
Step 1:Two shifts are used to distribute the examinees:
Applicants must be randomly split into two sessions with roughly equal numbers of candidates in each. The candidates will be assigned proportionally, whether there are more days or less shifts available.By doing this, it will be possible to prevent an uneven distribution of students who will take the exam. Furthermore, the likelihood of such bias diminishes because there are so many examinees spread out across the nation.
Step 2: Preparing Results for the Session:
The examination outcomes for each session would be prepared in the form of
- Raw Scores
- Percentiles Scores of Total raw scores.
The percentiles would be calculated as follows for each applicant in the Session:
Percentile Score of Total Raw Score for the candidate, TP1.
Step 3:NTA score compilation and result preparation:
The NTA scores, which are used for the compilation of results and subsequent processing for allocating resources, are the percentile scores for the Total Raw Score obtained in Step-2 above for all sessions (Session-1: Day-1 Shift-1, Session-2: Day-1 Shift-2).

What is need For Normalisation in CUET Exam 2022 ?
In the exam, some students had the bad misfortune of receiving a difficult question set, and others had a fairly simple question set. As a result, there was a great deal of disagreement, and applicants started to have doubts about the panel. As a result, there was a greater sense of unanimity in the applicants' demand for standardisation in the CUET Exam.Because of the CUET Exam Normalization, the commission will probably increase a candidate's final score by 10 or 5 points if the paper set he took was difficult. Similarly, the commission will deduct 10 or 5 points from the candidates' final score if the paper set seems to be very simple.Attempt Free CUET Mock Test: Click Here
