A - 46 m.
B - 56 m.
C - 66 m.
D - 76 m.

 Solution:

1.
Answer - B

Explanation
Ratio of investment of A and B = 100000 : 150000 = 2:3
Share of A  = (24000*2/5 ) = Rs. 9600
Share of B = ( 24000*3/5 ) = Rs. 14400

2.
Answer - A

Explanation
A: B: C =  (2000*12): (25000*12): (15000*8)=  12:5:6
Share of C = (46000* 6/23) = Rs. 12000

3.
Answer - A

Explanation
If capital of C be Rs. x . then Capital of B = 4x Rs.
2( A's capital) = 3(B's capital) = Rs. (3*4x) = Rs. 12x
∴  A's capital = Rs. 6x
⇒ A's capital + B's capital + C's capital = 11x = 297000
⇒ x = 27000
∴ B's share: 4x = Rs 108000

4.

Answer - B

Explanation
We assume that after the period of x month B joined the business.
Capital of A = (21000*12)= Rs. 252000
Capital of B = {36000* (12-x) }= Rs. (432000-36000x)
252000= 432000- 36000x ⇒ 36000x= 180000 ⇒ x= 5
Hence, B joined after 5 months.

5.
Answer - C

Explanation
A, B and C  paid rent in the ratio = (10*20): (30*8): (16*9) = 25:30:18
Rent paid by A = Rs.( 1460* 25/73) = Rs. 500
Rent paid by B = Rs. (1460*30/730= Rs. 600
Rent paid By C = Rs. (1460* 18/73) = Rs. 360

6.
Answer - D

Explanation

Clearly, A beats B by 10 sec.

Distance covered by B in 10 sec. = (1000/200*10)m = 50m

∴A beat B by 50 m.

7.
Answer - D

Explanation

Time taken by A to run 100m = (60*60/6000*100) sec. = 60 sec.

B covers (100-4) m in (60 +12) sec.

∴ B's speed = 96/72m/sec. = (96/72*18/5) km/hr = 4.8 km/hr

8.
Answer - C

Explanation

While A covers 1000m, B covers (1000-40)=960m and C covers (1000-64) =936m.

When B covers 960 m, C covers 936 m.

When B covers 1000m, C covers (936/960*1000)m =975m

∴ B gives C a start of (1000-975) m = 25 m.

9.
Answer - C

Explanation

Time taken by A to run 1 km = 290 sec.

Time taken by B to run 1 km = 300 sec.

A can give B a start of (300-290) = 10sec.

In 300 sec, B runs (1000/300*10) m = 100/3 m

∴ A can give B start of 100/3 m.

10.
Answer - D

Explanation

If A runs 600m, B runs 540 m.

If A runs 400m, B runs (540/600*400) m = 360m

When B runs 500m, C runs 450m.

When B runs 360 m, C runs (450/500*360) m = 324 m.

∴ A beats C by (400-324) m =76 m.
