RBI Assistant Exam Pattern
Preliminary Examination

The exam will be held online with multiple choice questions of a total of 100 questions, 35 questions will be Quantitative Aptitude and Reasoning Ability each and 30 questions will be from the English section.

The exam will have sectional timing where 20 minutes will be allotted for each section.

Each correct answer will fetch a candidate with 1 mark and 0.25 marks will be deducted for every incorrect answer.

Mains Exam

A total of 190 questions will be asked in the mains examination with a maximum of 200 marks.

Questions from Reasoning Ability and Computer Aptitude will carry 1.20 marks.

The rest sections i.e. Numerical Ability, English Language and General Awareness will carry 1 mark for each correct answer.

The candidates will get 1 mark for each correct answer while 0.25 marks will be deducted as negative marking

The exam will be held for 2 hours and 40 minutes.

The candidates will have to clear both the sections to secure a seat in the IBPS Clerk.
