RRB JE Exam Pattern

RRB JE selection process comprises of  stages:
  1. CBT (Computer Based Test) Stage – I
  2. CBT (Computer Based Test) Stage – II
  3. Document Verification 
  4. Medical Examination
Candidates should qualify all of these stages to be selected for the post. The details regarding each of these stages are given below.
   

RRB JE Exam Pattern: CBT Stage I

This is an online exam in which a total of 100 questions are asked from the following subjects- Mathematics, General Intelligence and Reasoning, General Awareness and General Science. Each question carries one mark. There is negative marking and 0.33 marks are deducted for every incorrect answer. Candidates can check all the details regarding the exam pattern below:

There is a minimum percentage of marks that must be scored by candidates to clear stage 1 test and be eligible for stage 2. The category-wise details are as follows:

RRB JE Exam Pattern: Stage II

This is an online test in which a total of 150 questions are asked. There are 5 sections in this test which contain questions from the following subjects- General Knowledge, General Science, Computer Applications, Basics of Environment andTechnical Abilities. Every question carries one mark. There is negative marking and 1/3 marks are deducted for every incorrect answer. The details of the exam pattern are as follows:

RRB JE Exam Pattern: Document Verification


After qualifying stage II, candidates have to appear for document verification. The documents that the candidates must have are as follows:
  1. Matriculation/10th standard Certificate or Equivalent certificate like Proof of Date of Birth(DOB).
  2. 10 +2 / Higher Secondary/PUC certificates of candidates shall be required. 
  3. Diploma / Engineering/Science Degree Certificate along with Semester wise Mark Sheets are needed.
  4. SC/ST certificates if applicable.
  5. OBC-NCL(Non-Creamy Layer) certificates as required.
  6. Non-creamy layer declaration certificate in case of OBC candidates.
  7. Income Certificates of candidates are required.
  8. Minority Community certificates of candidates required. 
After this candidates have to appear for a medical examination.
 

Is there a negative marking in RRB JE Exam?

Yes, there is a negative marking in RRB JE Exam. 1/3 or 0.33 marks are deducted for every incorrect answer.
