2. भारत की भौगोलिक एवं आर्थिक व्यवस्था

  • भारत की भौतिक दशाएं, जलवायु, वनस्पति, प्राकृतिक संसाधन, पर्यावरण संरक्षण, प्रमुख उद्योग एवं आर्थिक विकास
  • राजस्थान का भूगोल एवं प्राकृतिक संसाधन : प्रमुख फसलें, खनिज, वन, जल, पशु एवं वन्य जीव एवं संरक्षण।

4. दैनिक विज्ञान

  • मानव शरीर के महत्वपूर्ण तंत्रों का प्रारंभिक ज्ञान।
  • विटामिन, उनके स्रोत तथा अभाव से उत्पन्न रोग एवं निवारण।
  • शर्करा, प्रोटीन एवं वसा का ज्ञान तथा इनका आहारीय ऊर्जामान।

1. General Hindi

  • शब्द संरचना- संज्ञा, सर्वनाम, संधि, समास, उपसर्ग, प्रत्यय का सामान्य ज्ञान एवं तत्सम्बन्धी अशुद्धियों को पहचानने की योग्यता।
  • शब्द युग्मों में से सही शब्द की पहचान।
  • समानार्थक बोधक शब्द।
  • पर्यायवाची एवं विपरीतार्थक शब्द।
  • परिवहन सम्बन्धी अंग्रेजी तकनीकी शब्दावली की समानार्थक हिंदी शब्दावली।
  • मुहावरों एवं लोकोक्तियों का सही प्रयोग।
  • अशुद्ध शब्दों एवं वाक्यों को शुद्ध करने की योग्यता।
  • वाक्यांश के लिए एक सार्थक शब्द।
  • वाक्य की परिभाषा एवं प्रकार।

2. General English

  • Tenses/Sequence of Tenses.
  • Voice: Active and Passive.
  • Narration: Direct and Indirect.
  • Transformation of Sentences: Assertive to Negative, Interrogative, Exclamatory and vice-versa.
  • Use of Articles and Determiners.
  • Use of Prepositions.
  • Translation of Simple (Ordinary/Common) Sentences from Hindi to English and vice-versa.
  • Correction of sentences including subject, Verb, Agreement, Degrees of Adjectives, Connectives and words wrongly used.
  • Glossary of official, Technical Terms (with their Hindi Versions).
  • Synonyms & Antonyms.
  • One word substitution.
  • Forming new words by using prefixes and suffixes.
  • Confusable words.
  • Comprehension of a given passage.
  • Knowledge of writing letters: Official, Demi-Official, Circulars and Notices, Tenders.

Paper III

Automobile and Mechanical Engineering 

1. BASICS: Belt, chain and gear drives, speed ratio, friction clutches, rolling Friction. Vibration – causes & remedies, shock absorber. Torsion in solid & hollow shafts. Springs (Helical & leaf springs). Pascal’s law, Bernoulli’s theorem, Fluid pumps – Types and working. Basic principles of Thermodynamics concepts. Gas laws, Laws of Thermodynamics and processes. Gas power cycle, Carnot cycle, Otto cycle and Diesel cycle. Air compressors (Single & Multistage). SuperchargerTypes description & working, Air conditioning and related cycles.

2. INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINES: Classification, two-stroke and four-stroke cycles, their relative merits and demerits. Constructional details, working and special features of petrol and diesel engines and their components. I.C. engine system, components and their working. The air-fuel supply system and the fuel used. Cooling systems and coolants. Lubrication systems, lubricant and their properties. Ignition systems and system equipment. MPFI and CRDI system. SI and CI Engine combustion chambers.

3. I.C. ENGINE TESTING AND PERFORMANCE: Performance parameters, finding of I.H.P., BHP, FHP by Morse test, methods of finding BHP by dynamometers. Mechanical, Thermal, Volumetric, Air standard and Relative efficiencies of I.C. engine. Heat balance sheet. Combustion phenomenon in SI and CI engines, pre-ignition. Knocking or Detonation phenomenon. Octane & cetane ratings, measurement of Exhaust smoke, Exhaust Emissions and Emission standards of Bharat stage I, II, III, IV.

4. AUTOMOBILE VEHICLES: Classification, components and their function, the layout of chassis and its alignment, alternative arrangements used in respect of Engine position, front wheel, rear wheel & four-wheel drives. Final drives (Differentials).

5. AUTO VEHICLES SYSTEMS: Power transmission system, auto electrical equipment and system. Brakes, Braking system and its components, Anti Braking System. Frames and suspension system, Steering and steering geometry. Power steering system and its function.

6. WHEEL AND TYRES: Types of wheels, wheel alignment, types of tyres, tyre specification, the importance of maintaining tyre pressure, tyre troubles and repair. Tyre retreading (cold and hot).

7. MISCELLANEOUS: Driving inspection and Road testing of Auto vehicles, Roadworthiness requirements of auto vehicles, important provisions of Motor Vehicle Act and Rules.
