SSC CPO Exam Pattern
SSC CPO Exam selection procedure comprises of the following three stages:
- Paper I
- Paper II
- Physical Endurance Test
Candidates who qualify for Paper I and Paper II have to appear for Physical Endurance Test, however, the final merit list is prepared on the basis of the marks scored in Paper I and Paper II only.
SSC CPO Exam Pattern- Paper I
This is an objective multiple choice type paper where questions are asked from four subjects/sections- General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude, General Intelligence and Reasoning, and English Comprehension. A total of 200 questions are asked in SSC CPO Paper I, wherein 50 questions are asked from each section. The total time duration of the exam is 2 hours. Each question carries one mark. There is negative marking and 0.25 marks are deducted for every incorrect answer. SSC CPO Exam Pattern Paper I is as follows:

SSC CPO Exam Pattern- Paper II
This is the English Comprehension Test. A total of 200 questions are asked which carry 1 mark each. The total time allotted for the exam is 2 hours. There is negative marking and 0.25 marks are deducted for every incorrect answer.

SSC CPO Exam Pattern: Physical Standards Test and Physical Endurance Test
Candidates who qualify for Paper I and Paper II appear for SSC CPO Physical Standards Test and Physical Endurance Test. The details of both these tests are as follows:

Physical Endurance Test
Candidates are given certain tasks under Physical Endurance Test and they have to complete those tasks within the given time limit.
The details of Physical Endurance Test are as follows:
Male Candidates
- 100 metre race in 16 seconds
- 1.6 Km Race in 6.5 minutes
- Long Jump: 3.65 metres in 5 chances
- High Jump: 1.2 metres in 3 chances
- Short put 16 LBS: 4.5 metres in 3 chances
Female Candidates:
- 100 metre race in 18 second
- 800 metre race in 4 minutes
- Long Jump: 2.7 metres or 9 feet in 3 chances
- High Jump: 0.9 metres or 3 feet in 3 chances
