SSC Stenographer 2022 Eligibility Criteria
The eligibility criteria for the exam is mentioned in the official notification. Candidates must ensure they fulfill SSC Stenographer eligibility criteria before they apply for the exam. The SSC Stenographer Exam Eligibility criteria is as follows:
Nationality
A candidate must have any one of the following nationalities:
- A citizen of India, or
- A subject of Nepal, or
- A subject of Bhutan, or
- A Tibetan refugee who sought asylum in India before January 1, 1962.
- A person with Indian origin who has transferred from one of the following countries: Myanmar, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, etc.
Age Limit
Candidates should be between 18 to 30 years of age to be eligible for Group C posts and 18 to 27 years for Group D posts. The details of age relaxation for various categories are as follows:

Once the official notification for SSC Stenographer 2022 Exam is released, candidates can start applying for the exam.
You can follow the below given steps to apply for SSC Stenographer Exam:
- Visit the official website ssc.nic.in.
- Go to the Registration link and click on it.
- Now fill the One Time Registration (OTR) form.
- Enter your valid details as personal & professional in the form.
- Upload your scanned photo, signature & required certificate during the process.
- Once the registration is successfully done, you will be shared registration ID and password on the registered mobile number and email-id.
- The registered members will then be able to sign in on the official website.
- Now go to the 2020-2021 recruitment official notification and fill the application form.
- Enter your verified details (As per certificate/documents) for form registration.
- Attach scanned photo and signature.
- Check all the fields in the application form to proceed.
- Submit the Application Form.

SSC Stenographer 2022 Exam Pattern
There are 2 stages in this exam. The examination consist of one Computer Based Exam (Tier –I) and a skill test as Tier- II.
SSC Stenographer Exam Pattern: Tier I
The first phase of the SSC Stenographer exam is an online exam. Where candidates will have to secure marks more than a certain cutoff, in order to be eligible for other phases of the exam.
- Questions in Tier –I are objective type
- Each question carries 2 mark.
- Stipulated time for completion of Tier –I is two hour.
- SSC Stenographer Tier –I is a bilingual exam, conducted in Hindi and English.
- In Tier-I, there will be negative marking of 0.50 for each wrong answer.
- The maximum marks are 100.

SSC Stenographer Exam Pattern: Tier II (Skill Test)
This is the test of stenography skills. The candidates who are shortlisted in the Computer Based Examination will have to appear for the Skill Test in Stenography. The candidates will be given one dictation for 10 minutes in English or they must have a speed of 100 word per minute (w.p.m) for the post of Stenographer Grade „C‟ and 80 w.p.m. for the post of Stenographer Grade D‟.
