The University Grants Commission (UGC) is preparing to set up an expert group to look into the possibilities to integrate the national-level engineering and medical admission exams with the Common University Entrance Test (CUET-UG) starting in the next academic year.
Bringing JEE (Main) and NEET within the greater purview of CUET, according to UGC chairperson M Jagadesh Kumar, will lessen the load on students, and the plan is in line with the National Education Policy, 2020.

One of the most popular admission tests in the nation is the Common University Entrance Test-Undergraduate. Over 1 million people have applied to take the Common University Entrance Test (CUET), which was introduced this year.
