10) Take a break, then come back stronger:
1) Use a limited amount of fonts:
It is strongly suggested to utilize multiple typefaces in a single design, but do not overdo it. You should always make sure that your fonts complement one another and aim to keep the number of fonts you employ to three or fewer. Experiment and play with the fonts that are already installed in the software you're using, or you can always download free fonts from reliable font sources.
2) Keep track of your text by giving each letter its place:
You must let each letter have some personal space and allow them to breathe. Aside from that, letter spacing & kerning typography is extremely important. It has the potential to create or break a design. Some fonts have weird letter spacing by default, but happily, that's something you can take care of and handle like an expert. Depending on the situation, increase or decrease the letter spacing and try, try again until it appears right and each letter has its exact location.
3) Maintain consistency in your design:
Consistency is indeed the one thing that can bring all of the diverse elements of your design together and make them function. It is critical in an awareness campaign for people to start putting two and two together and recognize your cause. People are drawn to consistency. So keep your color palette consistent. Color palettes, as well as typography size, spacing, and position, should be used in your designs. Your client will be pleased if your design is consistent.
4) Make your text well-structured:
Use the alignment features in your software to your advantage. When adding text to a graphic design, make sure it is aligned with other elements in the design to create it visually appealing. Your viewer's readability will improve if you align your content and give it a nice framework. Also, keep your text to a bare minimum because users' attention spans can often be very short.
5) Icons, icons, and more icons:
You can direct a viewer's attention at any time by employing icons. Icons do not have to be confined to well-known brands such as Twitter or Instagram. You can utilize a variety of icons to add some visual flair. You can design your icons in either black and white or vivid colors. Make them in either a flat or 3D form. Integrate them into the design to boost its aesthetic value and improve the viewer's experience while engaging with your amazing graphic design.
6) Make use of a color palette:
On the subject of consistency, color consistency is essential. If you're not aiming to generate extreme contrast in your design, using a color palette throughout your entire design is a terrific option. It will subconsciously interest onlookers and is visually appealing. Any bypasser will stop to look at what you have to offer, even if it has nothing in common with them, simply because it is attractive to look at. So the fundamental point here is basically: please people, utilize a color palette for the love of decent graphic design.
7) BOLD BOLD BOLD:
Be unusual and stand out from the crowd—be BOLD. Sometimes you have to think beyond the box and ask yourself how you can be unique and courageous. Sometimes that means utilizing contrasting colors to add drama to your graphic design, and other times it means employing typography that stands out. The choice is yours, however, whatever you choose, make it a bold one.
8) Be transparent:
That quote now applies not only to you as a designer, but as well as your fonts. Sometimes you don't want your text to distract from the image, but you still have to get a large, bold point across. Here's the solution: use transparent typefaces. Use any typefaces you want, then modify the opacity levels to view the words while not detracting from the image.
9) Make a list of your thoughts:
Creativity isn't always useful, but you know what is? A notebook brimming with thoughts. Carry a little doodle pad with you and write down and sketch creative design ideas as they come to you. Who knows, maybe you'll get inspired while wandering around town and won't want to pass up the opportunity to jot down your next big idea.
10) Take a break, then come back stronger:
You may burn out in any scenario in life. When you're in the zone, you should make an effort to step outside, take a creative break, and rest your brain. Perhaps you are in the opposite scenario. You're sitting at the computer, but you're stuck for ideas. Go fetch a glass of water or a cup of coffee and then go outdoors for a short walk to replenish your batteries. The creative flow will return to you. Simply rest and then bounce back. You can do it.
