There are different pathways to joining the Indian Army after the 12th. These exams are conducted every year to recruit candidates for vacant positions. Below are listed all the details related to these pathways:1. National Defense Academy (NDA) Exam:
NDA (National Defense Academy) is the Joint Defense Service Training Institute for Indian Army. It is the easiest way to join the Indian Army after 12th. The Defense aspirants get their training here and then move to their respective training academies for further training. UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) conducts the NDA (National Defense Academy) exam twice a year. Moreover, the selection for NDA is done on the basis of written exams, SSB Interviews, and medical tests. This is the best way How to Join the Indian Army after the 12th. The candidates qualifying for all these three stages are sent to 3 years of further training.Eligibility Criteria:
Educational Qualification:The candidate must be 12th pass of the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent exam conducted by a State Education Board or a University.

2. Technical Entry Scheme (TES):
Another way to join the Indian army after the 12th is the Technical Scheme Examination. The candidates qualifying for this exam have to enroll themselves in the prescribed Engineering Course of their choice. After completing the 4-year Engineering course, they will be granted permanent Commission in the Army in the rank of Lieutenant. Like NDA this examination is also conducted twice a year in the month of January and July. The release of the official notification is done in the month of May/June and October/November. Moreover, the time period for the training course is 5 years. The exam consists of 3 stages i.e. Stage I and Stage II. The duration of the SSB Interview is 5 days and this is followed by a medical exam for the candidates recommended after Stage II. The candidates who are recommended by SSB and are medically fit will get the joining letter for training. This will depend on the merit list according to the number of vacancies. This is the second-best way How to join the Indian Army after the 12th.Eligibility Criteria:
Educational Qualification:The candidate must be 12th pass or its equivalent with a minimum of 60 % marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics from a recognized board.
