An HR interview round can make or break your chances of getting into your dream company. So to pass this interview, it's best to keep a few tips in mind.

What are your strengths?
Answer- When answering this question, you should focus on your strengths that are relevant to the position you are applying for. Suppose you are applying for a customer service job. In this case, your strengths are your excellent customer service skills, problem-solving skills, and ability to remain calm under pressure, like my time management skills are excellent, I am organized, efficient and systematic. I enjoy excellence in my work.

Why are you interested in this job?
Answer-  Research the company thoroughly before interviewing. Talk about how your skills and experience make you a good candidate for the job. For eg. It is a pleasure and an honor to work for a reputable business like yours. After researching your job opportunities, I found that my skills match your requirements. This job allows me to use my technical skills to support the development of the company.

Want to work overtime or odd hours?
Answer- You must answer this question honestly. Don't lie or compromise just to get the job. If all is well, you can answer as follows. I know there are good reasons for companies to work long hours, and that's fine. Doing something for the company is an extra effort. I like to do it.

Which do you value more, effort or money?
Answer- This is a very difficult question. Work should always be more important than money. This attitude is good for you (at least at the time of the interview). Like "Money is always important, but work is the most important to me”.

What is your biggest mistake?
Answer- Please do not contradict your previous statements in answering this question. Be sure to answer in a way that shows your determination not to fail and also mention areas for improvement.

Answer- For example, I consider myself a pretty organized person because I always make a to-do list. I tend to prioritize each one and make sure my to-do list is okay.

Do you have a spouse/family/friend working for us?
Please be very careful when answering this question. You can consider the following points when answering this question: Organizations interviewed (startups / MNCs), Interview source (recommended or not), and job title of acquaintance.

Are you willing to relocate?
Answer- example: I will definitely do that if I get the chance. Why did you leave your previous company so often? Answer honestly and do not mention any issues that are necessary for the current position you are applying for.

On a scale of 1 to 10, how would you rate yourself as having the necessary skills for this position?
Answer- This is a kind of question that tests your confidence. Don't be afraid to leave a review that actually justifies your qualifications.

Do you currently have any offers?
Answer- Be very careful when answering this question. A rookie should never admit that he has received an offer from another organization since doing so is suicide.

Why do you want to work with us?
Answer- example: I always wanted to be part of an organization like yours. Personally, I would love to be a part of this company because their products are best in class. I also read recently that this company is one of the best places to work for their employees.


What are your reasons for leaving your current/previous job?
Answer- example: I was in a position where my qualifications and skills were not justified. I don't want to build my future in X, but I've always wanted a job like this. It's not just my personal interest, but the market dynamics are immense.

What do you know about this organization?

How do you feel when your boss criticizes your work?
Answer- Frequently asked questions in stress interviews. Interviewers basically want to see how you handle pressure. Respond with positive tips, as such situations may arise along the way.
