Dr APJ Abdul Kalam, who was he?
APJ Abdul Kalam worked as a scientist and scientific administrator for the following forty years, primarily at the Indian Space Research Organization and the Defence Research and Development Organization (DRDO) (ISRO). Additionally, he played a key role in developing India's military missile program as well as its civilian space program.
As a result of his contributions to the advancement of ballistic missile and launch vehicle technology, APJ Abdul Kalam earned the nickname "Missile Man of India."
