HDFC Releases its new FD interest rate list, effective from today

HDFC Releases its new FD interest rate list, effective from today

HDFC, private sector bank, has released the list of its latest fixed deposit and FD interest rates. According to the bank's website hdfcbank.com, Interest rates are effective from Saturday onwards. The new FD interest rates will cover the deposits below Rs. 1 and 5 crores.   

The latest Fixed Deposit (FD) interest rates of Indian banking and financial services company, HDFC Bank were released a day after the Reserve Bank of India kept key lending rates on hold in its fourth bi-monthly policy review meeting.

State-run lender State Bank of India (SBI) last revised its FD interest rates with effect from July 30 while private sector peer ICICI Bank hiked its FD interest rates from 14th of August.

HDFC Bank is India’s largest private sector lender by assets. HDFC Bank offers multiple FD options for their customers to park their surplus savings for a fixed duration. A customer is required to deposit its amount once into their FD account at the time of opening the account with the bank. After Fixing a certain amount in Fixed Deposit, Customer is not allowed to withdraw and deposit money during the tenure of the deposit. HDFC Bank has altered its rate of interest for Fixed Deposits

The new FD interest rate will benefit both general and senior citizens. However, there has been no change in the latest FD interest rates as compared to the previous interest rates which were applicable from August 6. 

The interest rates of HDFC Bank were released a day after the Reserve Bank of India kept key lending rates on hold in its fourth bi-monthly policy review meeting.
