India made its way up in the Asia Cup T20 tournament with a seven-wicket win over Pakistan. The game began with Pakistan winning the toss and electing to bat, where they were restricted to 72 runs for 7 wickets in the 20 overs match in Kinrara Academy Oval.

One of the limelight of the match was Ekta Bisht, a left-arm spinner that claimed an impressive figure of 3/14 in her four-over spell, who also was named the Player of the Match.
Looking at the match, India chased the target and completed the task with 23 balls remaining. The Indian batting side claimed the win with opener Smriti Mandhana who had scored 38 off 40 balls along with the captain Harmanpreet Kaur who scored 34 runs in 49 balls. Initially, India had a bad start as Mithali Raj and Deepti Sharma were out with only five runs on board by the third over, but with less runs to chase, India played calmly.
Mandhana and Harmanpreet collectively added 65 runs, with Mandhana getting out with only three runs to win. This was India's fourth win in the five matches played, wherein the only defeat was to Bangladesh, but India bounced back by winning against Sri Lanka followed with Pakistan.
