Before continuing the discussion on the national AYUSH mission, it would be appropriate to know what “AYUSH” is. AYUSH stands for Ayurveda, Yoga, Unani, Siddha (Siddha) and Homeopathy.
All of these are ancient and traditional medical systems, abbreviated as “AYUSH” (AYUSH). When Ayurveda means “knowledge of life”, yoga is the spiritual process by which body, mind and soul are integrated. Unani is that ancient system of medicine, in which special attention is paid to the five elements of the body (fire, water, earth, air and sky). Under Siddha (Siddha) it is suggested that it is possible to become a ‘Siddha’ through concentrated meditation. Homeopathy is based on the principle of symmetry, according to which the medicine that causes the disease can cure the disease from its root.

Why in the discussion?
 

The government has decided to maintain the National AYUSH Mission (NAM) as a centrally sponsored program until 2026.
The total cost of the project is Rs 4,603 crore, of which the central government will pay 3,000 crore and the rest by the state governments.
The Union Cabinet, chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has approved the continuation of the AYUSH National Mission (NAM).A portals related to the AYUSH sector have also been also launched by Ayush mantralaya.

 

 National Ayush Mission: Lanch date

This mission was launched in September 2014 by the AYUSH Department under the Ministry of Health and Family Safety under the 12th Plan by States/UT. It is currently being implemented by the AYUSH ministry.
 
In view of the good results of this mission, the Cabinet of the Union, chaired by the Prime Minister on December 15, 2017, approved the continuation of the AYUSH National Mission from April 1, 2017 to March 31, 2020. It will cost approximately 2400 crore at Rs. Period three years. It should be noted that, for the 2019-20 financial year, Rs 1939,76 crore has been allocated to this scheme.

The total financial implications are 3,000 carors₹ from the center and 1,607.30 crores₹ from the state.
