CUET UG EXAM 2024: A Guide for Students

The first day of CUET-UG was done successfully across India. The tests were conducted for Chemistry, Biology, English, and General Tests all over India, except for 258 centers in Delhi. On May 15, 2024, the total number of centers used across India was 2157. Several candidates wrote for today's papers:

• Chemistry: 643752 candidates in 1640 centers
• Biology: 363067 candidates in 1368 centers
• English: 862209 candidates in 2077 centers
• General Studies: 721986 candidates in 1892 centres

Since students write multiple tests, the above is equal to handling 2591014 students daily. This constitutes 44.71% of the total scheduled slots for students registered in pen-and-paper mode. 
"This is a landmark achievement by NTA in conducting CUET-UG in such large numbers on a single day, and NTA deserves kudos for their careful planning and for making sure that the test today went off well at such a large scale in pen and paper mode," said M Jagadesh Kumar, Chairman UGC.

The tests in four papers scheduled in 258 centers in Delhi on May 15, postponed to May 29.

The postponed date is only for Delhi centers. This postponement was necessitated due to some logistical issues beyond the control of NTA. Fresh admission cards will be issued to the students in Delhi. 
On May 15, 2024, attendance was more than 75%. However, the accurate percentage will be known after we analyze the data.

   CUET UG EXAM 2024

   The Common University Entrance Test (CUET) is an examination conducted by the National Testing Agency for admission to undergraduate programs at different central universities and other institutions in India. It must be important that there is an examination conducted, called CUET PG, for admission to postgraduate programs. CUET UG exam date 2024 is May 15–May 24, 2024. CUET application form 2024 will be released on  February 27, 2024, by NTA at cuet.samarth.ac.in.

   CUET UG Eligibility 

   Candidates who appear for the CUET 2024 exam must fulfill the eligibility criteria set by the National Testing Agency (NTA). The eligibility requirement for appearing for the exam involves nationality, age limit, and educational qualifications. Interested candidates can check the eligibility criteria for the exam below:

• Aspiring candidates must have passed the 12th-grade examination for respected birds or appear in 2024.

• There is no age limit for applying for the CUET exam.

• There are no limited attempts for the CUET exam.

  CUET UG Examination 2024: Scheme 

  The examination scheme for CUET UG 2024 is below:

  Total Subjects	The total number of subjects is 61 (33 languages, 27 domain-specific, and 1 General Test)
  Test Paper	Maximum 06 Test papers (04–05 domain subjects, including General Test and 01–02 languages). Candidates  may  choose  a maximum of six Subjects  including languages (Indian and Foreign) and the general test. Note: Candidates should select at least one language.
  Medium of Test	NTA provides 13 languages as a medium of testing (Assamese,  Bengali,  English,  Gujarati,  Hindi, Kannada,  Malayalam,  Marathi,  Punjabi,  Odia,  Tamil,  Telugu, and Urdu)
  Mode of the Exam	Hybrid Mode (Pen, Paper, OMR sheet )
  Total number of Questions	Attempt 40 questions out of 50. Give 45 minutes for paper. Subjects-Mathematics, Accountancy, Physics, Chemistry, Economics,  Computer  Science/Informatics  Practices. In general, a test lasts 60 minutes
  Shift and Duration	There should be three shifts in a day and a 2-hour duration in a shift.
