Central Teacher Eligibility Test or CTET 2018 is an Exam Conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) for appointing new Candidate for the post of teacher. This is an amazing opportunity for the candidates willing to work in the teaching profession. The exam will be conducted across 92 cities for the recruitment of the teachers for various central and State Government School. As per the Official Notice, the online Application Link has already been activated. The interested candidates can apply for work under state / Central Government School for ramping up their career.

CBSE has released the official notification for CTET 2018 on August 1. At the time of registration, candidates can select the three different CTET exam centres as per his/her preference. The online application for CTET 2018 has been closed by August 27, 2018. CBSE will be conducting the CTET 2018 on December 09, 2018.

CTET exam comprises of 2 papers (Paper 1 for Classes I to V) Primary Stage and Paper II: (for Classes VI to VIII) Elementary Stage) will be conducted in offline mode. The exam duration will be of 180 minutes for each paper. Candidates who will be appearing for the exam are advised to check complete syllabus as set by the conducting body.

CTET Pattern consists of 2 papers- Paper 1(Primary Stage) and Paper 2(Elementary Stage) –

  • Paper 1 is for candidates who intend to become a teacher for classes 1 to 5.
  • Paper 2 of is for candidates who wish to teach students from classes 6 to 8.
  • Every correct answer will be awarded +1 mark while negative marking scheme will not be applicable for the exam.

CTET 2018 Previous Year Question Papers:
The previous year question papers for CTET 2018 is of great help for the candidates to get a fair idea of the type of questions, marking, and nature of the exam and difficulty level. Till 2016, CTET was conducted in the offline mode, however, it is speculated that from this year onwards, the exam will see some major changes and will also go online, completely.
However, the basic aim of the exam will however, remain intact and candidates will get a complete idea of the exam as they solve previous year CTET Question Papers.

Candidates scoring more than 60% will receive the Eligibility Certificate. CTET Cut off will be released after the declaration of results.
