Agneepath Scheme 2022: The Agnreepath scheme is launched by Union Government to recruit youth in defence. These selected youth under this Agneepath scheme will be called Agniveers. The Agniveers will be recruited in the Indian Army, Navy, and Air Force. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has approved the scheme on 14th June 2022.
The Union Government announced the Agnipath Scheme on June 14, 2022. This is an initiative to recruit Youth into the Indian Armed Forces, who will be known as the Agniveers after the induction. The Agnipath Scheme is a fundamental defence policy change in the Army, Navy, and Air Force’s Human Resource Policy. The Agnipath initiative intends to give patriotic and motivated youngsters with the 'Josh' and 'Jazba' the opportunity to join the Armed Forces for four years, resulting in a revolutionary change toward a more tech-savvy, younger, and dynamic Armed Forces. What is Agneepath Scheme 2022?
The Agnipath Scheme, which was approved by the Cabinet Committee on Security, which is chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, is a transformational recruitment scheme by the Government of India for the recruitment of Soldiers, Sailors, and Airmen as Agniveers in the Armed Forces – Army, Navy, and Air Force, respectively. The plan is a step toward achieving Aatmanirbhar Bharat.
The Agneepath Scheme is an affirmative step towards making an army full of young, dynamic, and tech-savvy youth. In the first year of its inception, more than 46,000 Agniveers will join the Indian Army, India Air Force and Indian Navy. These Agniveers will be recruited for the period of 4 years initially through Agneepath Scheme. In these 4 years, the Agniveers will be trained to make them top-class defence personnel.
From the date of the scheme's announcement, recruitment for the Agnipath scheme is expected to commence in 90 days (August-September 2022).

The Indian Navy has released the notification for the recruitment of Agniveers for which detailed notification will be released on 09th July 2022 and the online application process will begin on 15th July 2022.
The Indian Air Force online application will begin from 24th June 2022 onwards and the Online test will start on 24th July 2022.
Agneepath Recruitment Notifications from the Indian Army and Indian Air Force have already been released on 20th June 2022.
Who are Agniveers?
Agniveers are candidates who will be recruited into the Armed Forces through the Agnipath Scheme. They will be given a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to serve and contribute to the development of their country, India. The Indian government has declared that the Agnipath scheme will be used to enroll 46,000 Agniveers into the Armed Forces.
Agnipath Scheme Eligibility
Age restriction
Candidates must be between the ages of 17.5 and 23 to be eligible for the Agnipath program.
Qualifications in Education
Candidates must have the necessary educational qualifications for the services and trades that they will be pursued under the Scheme. For example, if you are applying for General Duty (GD), you must have completed Class 10 from a recognized school board.
Process of Selection
The Agnipath system will include a pan-India merit-based recruitment process with a centralized transparent screening evaluation based on merit and performance during service. The Agniveers will be enlisted for a four-year tenure in the Armed Forces.
Commissioning & Training
The Agniveers will receive training from the greatest institutions to improve their qualifications and skills over the length of their four-year assignment. The Agniveers will learn a variety of military skills during their service. They will be issued a Skill Gained Certificate as well as credits for their future education and career.
After four years of service, the scheme will be split into two scenarios:
The Agniveers will reintegrate into society to contribute to the process of nation-building. When they return to society, they will be offered enticing re-employment possibilities under the plan.

the Agniveers be allowed to apply for a permanent commission in the Armed Forces. The concept envisions 25% of Agniveers being enrolled in the regular cadres of the Armed Forces based on their performance throughout their four years of service. NOTE: Agniveers selected for regular cadre service in the Armed Forces will be obliged to serve for a minimum of 15 years.

Agniveers who join the Armed Forces through the Agnipath Scheme will earn a competitive monthly stipend, as well as Risk and Hardship allowances in each of the three Forces.
1st Year Monthly Package – Rs 30,000/-
In the fourth year, you can get a pay raise of up to Rs 40,000/-.

Package 'Seva Nidhi'
After completing the 4-years of service, the Agniveers will receive a one-time 'Seva Nidhi' package of Rs 11.71 lakhs, which will include their accrued interest and a matching contribution from the Indian government equal to the accumulated amount of their contribution, including interest, as detailed below:

Compensation is determined by medical authorities depending on the percentage of disability.
