The name of the post is Sub- Inspector in CAPF and Delhi Police for which the SSC conducts the examination.

The basic steps to apply for SSC CPO exams are as follows:

• Go to the official website of SSC i.e. ssc.nic.in

• Click on the apply link and register yourself for SSC CPO by clicking on the New Registration in the SSC CPO 2020.

• Fill in all the details in the required fields including Mobile No., Date Of Birth, Parent’s names, etc. carefully.

• After filling all the details carefully, click on the submit button and you will be issued a Registration ID for SSC CPO exam. 

• Candidates are requested to login using the registration ID, Date of Birth and password to complete the registration process.

• The next step requires the candidate to upload their Photograph and Signatures according to the dimensions prescribed by SSC.

• The candidate then needs to login using the registered ID and password to complete the next part of the application form.

• After filling the application carefully, the candidates are requested to have a look at the form once and do check and rectify the mistakes, if any.

• The last step includes clicking on the final submit button and proceeds to pay the application fee for SSC CPO i.e. Rs. 100.

Candidates who wish to apply for the  SSC SI Delhi Police & CAPF 2020 Exam must have a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from any recognised university or equivalent.  

The expected basic salary for SSC CPO is Rs.35,400 and the gross salary is Rs.47,496. Whereas the salary structure of SSC CPO SI has been upgraded after the 7th Pay  Commission. The pre-revised grade pay was Rs.4200 in the pay band of Rs.9300 to Rs. 34800.

SSC CPO 2020 salary released by Staff Selection Commission (SSC) is as under:

Sub Inspector (GD) in CAPFs: This post carries a pay-scale of Level-6 (Rs. 35,400/- to 1,12,400/-) and is classified as Group “B” (Non-Gazetted), Non-Ministerial.

Sub Inspector (Executive)- (Male/Female) in Delhi Police: This post carries a pay-scale of Level-6 (Rs. 35,400/- to 1,12,400/-) and is classified as Group “C” (Non-Gazetted) by Delhi Police. 

This job of Sub-Inspector (SI) comes with some rights and responsibilities. The main responsibility of SSC CPO is to maintain law and order in the city of which they are given the charge of. To maintain the law and order, Sub-Inspector is expected to use the powers and rights provided to them by the Govt. of India. Some of the rights are listed below.

• To register FIR against an individual.

• To investigate the cases under the Indian Penal Code(IPC), cases sanctioned under any special law of Parliament or the law of the state. 

• To use force to disperse mobs and regenerate law and order.

• To search for an individual premises/vehicle.

Career growth and promotion for posts under SSC CPO:

• The first promotion from the post of SI to Inspector takes 15 years, provided you need to have a faultless track record.

• The next promotion to the post of ACP takes 12 years.

• The probability of promotion depends upon the individual’s performance and the track record or the accomplishments.

One can also be eligible for promotions due to their extra-ordinary accomplishments during some intense situations or showing great courage in some tough situations such as confronting terrorists or busting some rackets.

There are 4 stages in the SSC SI CAPF 2020 exam. For the selection, a candidate must clear all the 4 stages of the SSC SI CAPF 2020 Exam.
